I saw a fabulous card idea shared in a demonstrator-only group on Facebook by Laura Stranks. (Thanks for the inspiration, Laura!) So I figured it out and designed my own version of this fun-fold card with the beautiful Texture Chic Suite of products.

I just showed live on YouTube and on Facebook about an hour ago step-by-step directions for creating this Faceted Vertical Diamond Fold card. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. A correction to my directions though: position your designer paper so the white dots are opposite of how I instructed for your diagonal cuts. So you want to cut a little OVER 1/2″ from the top and bottom and a little UNDER 1/2″ from the sides.

• Pool Party Cardstock
  • 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4”
• Basic White Cardstock
  • 2-3/4” x 5-1/4”
  • Scraps for die-cutting shells
• Texture Chic Designer Paper
  • 5” x 5-1/4” – cut at 1-7/8” and again at 1-7/8” to get three consecutive strips: two pieces that are 1-7/8” x 5-1/4” and one that is 1-1/4” x 5-1/4”
