Today is the last day to sign up (or have an active subscription) for Paper Pumpkin so you get in on this month’s April kit. So I thought I’d share a couple more cards that I put together with some of my leftovers from last month’s Here’s to You kit.
I added in some Early Espresso Cardstock and Champagne Foil. But the kraft colored paper comes from the envelopes in the kit. And though I used Basic White in the middle, the flip-side of the card bases in the kit could be used instead.

Measurements for one card…
- Early Espresso Cardstock
- 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2″
- 2-1/4″ x 3-3/4″
- Basic White Cardstock
- 2″ x 3-1/2″
- Champagne Foil Sheets
- 2-1/8″ x 3-5/8″
- Kraft colored paper (from the envelopes in the kit)
- 4″ x 5-1/4″
- 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″
- Twine from the kit
- 22″
Tips for cutting envelope…
- Trim off the sides to open the envelope. Cut the larger piece from the fullest section. To get the smaller kraft paper piece (for the inside of the card), cut from the smaller section of the envelope by trimming a bit into the overlapping seam as shown.
Directions…
- Emboss the larger kraft paper piece.
- Use the stencil and sponge to “pounce on” a small sun. Stamp the trees or flowers with second and even third generation ink (ink that has been stamped off onto scrap paper first so it creates a lighter color). Then stamp the sentiment and birds using full ink color.
- Stamp birds on the smaller kraft piece and add to the inside of the card.
- Add the larger embossed kraft piece to the front of the card. (I applied my Seal adhesive to the card base because I didn’t want to risk tearing the thin embossed envelope paper.)
- Layer the white onto the Champagne. Then layer this onto the Early Espresso.
- Wrap around and tie on the twine. Then add this layer to the front using Dimensionals from the kit.
