One of my favorite things to do with kits from Stampin’ Up! is to add a bit of extra cardstock and envelopes and see if I can re-configure the kit pieces to double the amount of cards. Well, I just had to do that again with the Hello Dear Friend Kit!

I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago step-by-step directions for turning those twelve Hello Dear Friend Kit cards into 24. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.

I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for what I demonstrated. (Please subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can get updates when I share and go live).

Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.

Measurements for 8 cards…
(Triple the measurements to get 24 cards)

  • Early Espresso Cardstock
    • Four pieces that are 5-1/2” x 8-1/2” scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4”
    • Two pieces that are 4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to the short side at 5-1/2”
  • Small kit card (leaf print)
    • 3-3/4” x 5”
  • Small kit card (line print)
    • 4-1/4” x 4-1/2”
  • Larger kit envelopes (printed liner)
    • Two pieces that are 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Larger kit envelopes (all white portion)
    • Two pieces that are 3-1/4” x 4-1/2”
  • Smaller kit envelopes (white side of printed liner)
    • Two pieces that are 2-5/8” x 4-1/4”
  • Basic White Envelopes
    • Two pieces that are 4” x 5-1/4”
  • Copper metallic cord from kit
    • Two piece that are 7”
    • 23”

Here are photos of the finished cards. Remember that these 8 cards only represent 1/3 of the kit. So you’ll want to make 3 of each design to get 24 total. And be sure to purchase this kit sooner than later. Kits typically don’t carry over when catalogs end. And this kit is no exception. It IS going to retire the end of June when the Jan-June Mini Catalog ends.
