It has been so bitterly cold here reaching 30 below at one point. And it looks like it’s been unseasonably cold in many parts of the US recently. So of course many of us are pretty relieved that temps are coming back to normal again. In our household we are dreaming of our upcoming rescheduled Stampin’ Up! incentive trip that is still in the plans to take place in May. And we are ALL going – me, my husband, AND our two boys, Nick and Luke. We are ready for warmth, sand, sunshine, and the ocean.

So I pulled out the Sand & Sea Suite of products and created a couple cards that were inspired by the layout of Kristie Strum’s swap card (hers was the second card that I shared on Monday’s post). I just love how the strip of designer paper peeks out on the right. Thanks Kristie!

Measurements

• Seaside Spray or Blushing Bride Cardstock: 7-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4”
• Vellum Cardstock: 3” x 5-1/4”
• Basic White: 3” x 5-1/4” and scrap for Story Label Punch
• Champagne or Brass Foil Sheets: Scrap for die-cutting stitched circle
• Night of Navy or Mango Melody Cardstock: Scrap for punching 2” circle
• Sand & Sea Designer Paper: 1” x 5-1/4”

Directions 

• Emboss vellum, stamp and punch sentiment piece, die-cut foil circle, punch cardstock circle, and stamp inside white layer.
• Attach vellum to the front with just a bit of Seal under where the sentiment layer will sit. Add the punched circle, then the die-cut circle, then the punched sentiment (on Dimensionals). Attach the white and the designer paper strip to the inside. These pieces will meet but not overlap.
• Add a coordinating sticker on the inside where the punched circle. Add Opal Rounds to the front. Then lift up the vellum and add Glue Dots under the Opal Rounds to adhere the vellum to the card base a bit more.
