What a fabulous weekend! I attended Stampin’ Up!’s April 2019 OnStage event in my home town area… Minneapolis, Minnesota along with 32 others in my Stampers With ART stars group. These events bring me joy in so many ways…friends, inspiration, creative ideas, new stuff, fun and goodies, all that we take home, the swaps and gifts from others,… I’m in my happy place! ???
#OnStage2019
This OnStage was centered around the unveiling of the new products coming out in the 2019-20 Annual Catalog which will debut on June 4, 2019.
Before I share some photos from this fun event I want to remind you that along with the coming of a new catalog, comes saying good-bye to the current catalogs. And Stampin’ Up! has posted its list of products that are now retiring from the current ones: the 2018-19 Annual Catalog and the 2019 Occasions Catalog.
Be sure to take a good look at the retiring products lists so that you don’t miss out on getting items that you have wanted. Some things (like designer papers, ink pads and refills, cardstock…) sell out quickly!
CLICK HERE for more detailed information, to access the lists and links, for dates about transitioning into the new catalog, AND to find out how you can get your hands on the new 2019-20 Annual Catalog. I’m mailing them directly this year instead of having them sent through Stampin’ Up!. So please be sure to read through how you can get your own copy sent to you.
This time the OnStage Live (the big three day event) was in Auckland, New Zealand. So I attended one of the OnStage Locals. And I was blessed to have a few team members travel far to join our big group: two from California, one from Iowa, one from North Dakota, one from Wisconsin, and many from Minnesota but a good drive away.
For those of us at a leadership level, we were treated on Friday evening to an extra special event called CentreStage. I roomed with my good friend (and upline) Susan Campfield. This is a photo from her camera that we had taken before we entered the event.
Susan’s team of Silver Elites and above (which I am a part of with my team member Cheryl) is pictured below: Me, Carol Rosengren, Cheryl Lee, Linda Larson, Susan Campfield (in the back), Kelly Burkhart, and Carol Baumgartner.
The food was incredible and tasted wonderful! I was amazed that there were so many choices for my restrictive diet. So I dished up to get a taste of everything.
I shared this photo of Cheryl and me on Saturday, but thought I’d add it here since this was a huge highlight of being able to attend this leadership event…getting the catalog early!
Cheryl and I sat with these wonderful ladies…Sandy Carlson, Terri Gaines, Denise Quale, and Sue Lehrer.
And below are the gifts and goodies I took home from CentreStage. (The bracelet was a gift from Susan.)
The next day was the main event for all…OnStage. I love how the tables were each decorated. (Notice the miniature Stampin’ Up! box filled with candy? Those mini boxes are one of the new products that will be available in the catalog. So cute, right?!)
These beautiful gals (that I sat with on Saturday) are four members of my Stampers With ART community that I met in person for the first time this weekend!! They each traveled a good distance to be here. The two gals in the back each flew in to be with our group…Jenny Rehder from Corona, CA and Amanda Martin from Plumas Lake, CA. Waving is Kym McCutcheon from Mountain Lake, MN. And next to her is Lisa-Marie Ramer from Gaylord, MN. What fun we had! Ashley Kuphal from Cokato, MN joined us later in the day but wasn’t in our photo. 🙁 Hopefully when I share more photos tomorrow, I’ll have one of her. She was delayed in getting to the event.
In fact I’ll share a few more photos of other friends and of projects tomorrow, too that you’ll want to come back to see.
The rest of these photos are of the products and samples on the display boards and a few good ones I took during the demonstrations. It’s fun to see all the NEW!!
This special double-sided display board below gave us all a sneak peek of the Paper Pumpkin kit coming next month…May’s kit which was designed with the help of Shelli Gardner, Stampin’ Up!’s board chair and cofounder. Shelli worked closely with designers and concept artists to create a Paper Pumpkin kit that is uniquely hers. It includes an exclusive photopolymer stamp set, paper, and crafting materials to create 12 mailable cards (3 cards of 4 unique designs), 12 exclusive, coordinating envelopes, and a Classic Stampin’ Spot. Coordinating colors: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pool Party, Pretty Peacock (a new 2019-21 In Color), Soft Suede, and Very Vanilla.
I was super excited that we got to make this card from the kit, too! Click here to see the video for even more information on this kit. I’ll share photos of this with my other cards I made from the make-n-take materials tomorrow.
Here are the rest of the display boards showing off new products!!! Eek! Can you pick out what I’ll be buying first?
The names of the new In Colors (in case you haven’t heard yet) are…
- Rococo Rose
- Purple Posy
- Pretty Peacock
- Seaside Spray
- and Terracotta Tile
I overnighted my order, so I’ll have samples of these colors in my hot little hands tomorrow. My goal is to share these colors compared to other Stampin’ Up! colors (present and past) in a post later this week.
There are so many new amazing designer papers, embellishments and stamp set images! Below are products from the new suites.
There will be more Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers offered and six fun Pigment Sprinkles (similar to Brusho Crystal Colour). And pictured below are two new card kits.
These last three photos are of the rest of my many gifts and prizes I received.
The beautiful bag, the things that came in it, and the two all attendee product gifts: Daisy Lane Stamp Set and Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Paper
The fantastic new 2019-20 Annual Catalog, my name badge, my prize patrol button and prize I won (the Woven Heirlooms stamp set), and my recognition letter to walk across stage for achieving $700,000 in career sales.
Image sheets from the make-n-take packets and all the fun items I got to take home with me from the our products we used at our table
Come back tomorrow to see more photos from OnStage and photos of what I created with the make-n-take supplies. I changed most of mine up! 😉

ANNUAL CATALOG NEWS
Due to recent supplier issues (and other factors), Stampin’ Up! will no longer be carrying the current die-cutting machine and trimmer: The Big Shot and Stampin’ Trimmer are retiring. These changes are giving Stampin’ Up! the opportunity to research and explore replacement options. And there will be a gap when we do not have a trimmer or die-cutting machine available. The order limit for the Stampin’ Trimmer Cutting Blade Refills is at six until supplies are depleted for good. (From now until September SU will receive intermittent shipments from the supplier.)
The dies and folders that will be offered will not be from our current supplier. So there will be small changes: the dies and folders will be manufactured differently; this means the way you use the new style of dies and folders will be a little different than how you used the old style. Both the new-style and old-style dies and embossing folders can work with any die-cutting & embossing machine (in some cases, adaptations like shims may be required because the gap between rollers on machines may vary slightly between manufacturers). Click here for more details regarding the changes to our die-cutting machine, dies and embossing folders.
I realize for many of you that this news may be a little jaw-dropping at first. I had a similar reaction. But after giving it a little more thought, reminding myself that change is an opportunity for new and better, and knowing what a strong company Stampin’ Up! has been for 30 years, I now anticipate some marvelous changes to come! And I’m excited.
