Welcome to a special Paper Pumpkin “Pop Up” Blog Hop! Today I’ve joined with several fellow demonstrators who are fans of this month’s special 5th Anniversary kit so we could bring to you many creative alternate ideas at once – projects that we each put together using the contents of the March 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit: May Good Things Grow.
I’ve got three “outside the box” ideas for you. This first one is a pocket photo page layout.
I first trimmed down the designer paper pieces to 3″ x 4″ each. I adhered the Fresh Fig ribbon horizontally across the middle of each piece, added the floral die-cut halves to the pink pieces with Dimensionals, attached a knot of ribbon to the stems, added a wooden element, and then accented the ribbons with pearls.
For this piece I cut down a Fresh Fig card base from the kit to 4″ x 6″ and then attached all the pieces. (The label is attached with Dimensionals.)
Did you notice the label is stamped with just a partial image of the sentiment? I masked off what I didn’t want to stamp by covering that area with washi tape.
Then after inking up the stamp, I peeled away the washi tape before stamping it onto my label.
This second project is a 12×12 traditional page layout. Do you notice any similarities? wink wink
I transferred my pocket photo page elements to a couple sheets of 12×12 Soft Suede cardstock (from the Neutrals 12×12 cardstock pack). Then I added some rectangular Basic Black photo mats: bottom four are 5-1/2″ x 4″, the middle ones are 2-1/2″ x 4″, and the top pieces are 3″ x 4″. Finally before attaching them all to the base pages, I stamped a few leaf cluster images with Soft Suede ink.
The last step…I added a few pearls.
On March 15th I was blessed with a visit from my Colorado team member, Mackenzie Grimme from Mackenzie Makes. Her and her daughter, Anna spent the day with my boys and me. And a few other local team members (that were able to come over and stamp midday on a weekday) joined us to visit, chat and stamp after the lunch hour.
Susan Campfield (my direct upline, Mackenzie’s second level upline) brought a fun mermaid card make-n-take for us all.
I provided supplies to make the card shown below.
And Vicki Bibeau contributed the supplies for a right-angle fold over card using the Petal Palette stamp set.
So here is my third project – one of our make-n-takes from that afternoon…a sweet note card using the stamp images and wooden elements that came in the March kit.
These two photos show the cards we all made. I don’t remember who made which ones except for a few. Mine is in the top photo – the middle one. Susan’s is in the bottom photo – 3rd one. And Anna’s is in the bottom – the 4th one.

Beautiful layout and cards Rachel! Thanks for sharing you talent!
Oh Karie! You’re so sweet. Thanks so much!
Amazing projects Rachel. I loved your pocket page layout. The smaller cards in this kit are just begging to be used for this kind of project. Love the fresh colors and design for your cards. Perfect for Spring. Thanks for sharing. š
So glad you enjoyed what I shared, Tricia. Thank you for your sweet words.
Great projects Rachel…love the pages and love the clean look on the last card! Thank you so very much for popping up with us in our first hop!
Thanks for inviting me Deb! And thanks for your sweet words.
I love the pages you created. I am working on being a better memory keeper so I will definitely be using your pages for inspiration. Love the card too!
Thanks so much Sharon!
Your projects are beautiful! I love the scrapbook page layouts, but I really like the cards you made! The Lemon Lime Twist is gorgeous with this kit!
I’m glad that color was in this kit, too. Although we certainly could have used it had it not been, right? It’s a wonderful green.
Thanks for your kind comment Melissa!
You always have such great alternate ideas. Thank you. My favorite is the notecard. I could see this as a set in different colors.
Absolutely! That would be fun to make as a gift card set for someone.
And thank you for the compliment Brenda. Hugs to you!
Thanks for sharing 2 options for scrapbooking and a bright, spring card!
We need spring so bad here in 34 degree Minnesota. It cheered me up to make it. š
Love your idea!
thanks Cindy!
Thanks for doing this blog hop. Unfortunately I didn’t find you until I had done the entire PP project, but I will keep an eye out for you in the future.
So sweet of you Linda! Thanks.
It usually takes me until the last week of the month or the first week of the following month. But sometimes I get ideas out there earlier.
