There is a wonderful kit in the Holiday catalog called the Tin of Tags kit.
This kit (along with some added adhesives, the Tin of Tags stamp set, and 4 ink pads) creates 30 beautiful gift tags to put on your gifts this upcoming holiday season.
I made one full set of 10 tags with my kit and then I decided to get creative and go beyond the ideas in the kit direction sheet. On Wednesday I shared this 12×12 scrapbook page. But I also made a couple other fun packaging ideas that I want to share with you today.
We have some Glassine Bags that are pretty and easy to stamp on. They are translucent and have a great "winter feel" when stamped with snowflake images.
Supplies:
- Stamps: 142180 Tin of Tags photopolymer
- Paper : 141700 Glassine Gift Bags
- Ink : 126986 Island Indigo, 101731 White Craft
- Other : 142011 Tin of Tags Project Kit, 104332 SNAIL Adhesive, 138309 Fine Tip Glue Pen, tissue paper (got the one in the photo from a Paper Pumpkin kit!), a gift of some sort
Instructions:
- After assembling 1 or 2 of the 3 sets of tags in the Tin of Tags Project Kit, use the remaining pieces and go beyond!
- Stamp snowflakes with White Craft ink on a Glassine Gift Bag. Allow to dry.
- Stamp “Go ahead, tear it open!” with Island Indigo ink onto snowflake printed oval tag
- Add sequins with Fine Tip Glue.
- Tie Twine on tag.
- Add tissue paper wrapped gift to bag and tie tissue paper shut with twine.
I was thinking WAY ahead to Valentine's Day with this box of candy.
Supplies:
- Stamps: 142180 Tin of Tags photopolymer
- Ink : 126949 Real Red
- Other : 142011 Tin of Tags Project Kit, 104430 Dimensionals, 103683 Glue Dots, candies
Instructions:
- After assembling 1 or 2 of the 3 sets of tags in the Tin of Tags Project Kit, use the remaining pieces and go beyond!
- Fill the tin from the Tin of Tags kit with candy.
- Stamp “With Love” on the white circle with Real Red ink.
- Add it to the striped red tag as shown using a double thickness of Dimensionals so it's tall enough for the tassle to swing behind.
- Add the twine through the tag and tassle.
- Attach tag to the top of the tin using one or two Glue Dots.
I think I need to create some cards with this kit now. 😉
