Hi everyone! It was a fun day in our household yesterday. We had a Cub Scout Halloween Pack meeting in the evening, and we dressed up in some costumes that were pretty enjoyable to make. Because they weren't easy to just PUT ON, the afternoon was all about preparing what we would wear. And now because we needed our costumes for last night's event, we are all set for next Monday when we go out Trick-or-Treating.
Nicholas (my now 11-year-old) is a pedestrian crossing sign this year.
Luke (turning 10 in a few months) is a stick man…best in the dark with those glow sticks! He is going to have a BLAST dancing around outside at night on the 31st.
I even dressed up for the fun of it. My costume is a comic book character.
My sister went further with the idea after hanging out with me at the Cub Scout event and decided my name is Miss Daffodil Delight. My job? Stamping out crime! (She cracks me up.)
So of course I am playing catch up today and just now sharing some great news with all of you…
Stampin' Up! announced the November special: stamp sets that will be on sale and a new set of dies you may just need to add to your crafting collection.
Not only are stitches a classic trend, they illustrate the quality, precision, and extra care taken when creating a piece. With Stitched Shapes Framelits you can make paper stitches in seconds, turning any project into one that is stitched from the heart.
Now you have the opportunity to purchase Stitched Shapes Framelits ahead of their official release in the 2017-2018 annual catalog and get 25% off on select coordinating stamp sets. Although the 25% off stamps sets ends November 30, you will still be able to get the Stitched Shapes Framelits after that date.
(I'm ordering these framelits for myself on Tuesday, November 1st. If you live close by and want to place a small order to pick up here, let me know.)

Now I'd like to share this cute pumpkin home-decor project that is easy and quick to make. All you need is designer paper, a method for punching holes, ribbon or twine, and a coordinating leaf accent. In my video that I will share on Friday, I will give directions and dimensions. (Supplies I used are listed below.)

I'm hoping to share my fun ideas from the October Paper Pumpkin kit on Friday and Saturday. So please come back and visit. And you won't want to miss my post tomorrow where I share a fabulous fun-fold card. Those of you on Facebook will even be able to benefit by viewing a 'How To' video that I broadcasted for this card this past Monday. Please invest in some reflective tape. Those costumes look seriously dangerous. Don’t forget to light up their backsides! Have a safe and fun Halloween.
It’s always a concern of ours every year for sure. Thanks for your kind concern Carol.
(That’s why one of us goes with them trick-or-treating too. Reflective tape for Nick’s and glow sticks on the back side of Luke, too.)
