My mom and dad have such beautiful views from the windows of their cabin home. And I am so grateful that we are able to share such beauty with our children. This is what we see from the living room window on this sunny August morning.

How awesome to be able to eat Grandma and Grandpa's waffles while looking at this, right?!

Just this morning Nicholas (wearing the blue shirt who by the way feels MUCH better today) asked why I don't make these kind of waffles at home. And to tell you the truth, I purposely don't want a waffle maker to do such an fun meal because I want my boys to equate this yummy memory with the cabin. They eat this for breakfast practically EVERY morning we are here.

This card reminds me of the north woods, so I thought I'd share it today. It's one of the cards I made to swap at Convention.

Tips:

  • Sponge Early Espresso ink onto the designer paper piece and then use a tissue to wipe off any excess in that is on the glossy parts of the paper.
  • Sponge Early Espresso ink onto the edges of the Tip Top Taupe card stock to get the burnt/aged look.
  • After stamping and die-cutting the leaves, curl the leaves with a pencil, finger or bone folder.
  • Create green rhinestones by coloring on them with a colored Sharpie marker.
