We played "Would you rather…" last night at the supper table. One of the questions was, "Would you rather wear an outfit made of acorns or one made of banana peels?" So how fitting that my card that I was going to share next was this one…
So many wonderful products will be coming when the new 2015 Holiday Catalog goes live on September 1st!!
Here is a sneak peek at a few of them – the Acorny Thank You stamp set, The Acorn Builder Punch, and the Into The Woods Designer Paper. Of course, since these products aren't available yet, the links won't work until they go live in the online store on September 1st. The rest of the products used (those that are currently available) to make this card are listed and linked at the bottom of this post.
This card (one that my stampers will make in class on Tuesday, August 18th) is an easel card. You can hopefully see from this photo how it is folded.
My measurements:
- Old Olive card stock (4-1/4" x 8-1/2” scored in half at 4-1/4” and at 2-1/8")
- Tangelo Twist card stock (4-1/8” x 4-1/8”)
- Into The Woods Designer Series paper – Early Espresso wood grain sheet (4” x 4”) and flower clusters sheet (a circular area punched out with the 2-1/5" Circle punch)
- Whisper White card stock (small scrap for stamping the acorn top, acorn bottom and the thankful banner)
Tips:
- Fold the Old Olive card base as shown in the photo below (in a "z" shape).
- Stamp the acorn, punch, assemble then add to the circle punched designer paper with a couple dimensionals.
- After decorating the front of the card, open it up and add the smaller gold doily towards the lower/front. Then add two pearls (largest size in the pack) so that they are positioned above the small gold doily. This way when the card is propped open, the pearls will position it open far enough to reveal the entire doily.
We are still having a great time on our vacation. We celebrated birthdays (mine and my mom's) with a decadent flourless chocolate cake and…
…got in a bit of swimming and fishing even though the skies were cloudy yesterday.
