When the Occasions Catalog was released at the last Catalog Premiere, all of us Ooooed and Ahhhed when they gave us demonstrators a peek at this gold framed art.
(this image is taken from the catalog)
Of course we all thought it had been stamped. But to our surprise this most talked about sample was simply a piece of designer paper in a frame! That's it.
I have sold (and purchased) more of this Painted Blooms designer paper than any other in the Occasions catalog simply because IT… IS… GORGEOUS! So of course it makes me wonder how many of us are hoarding it – too nervous to cut it up and use it. Well…
Good news!…You don't have to cut it so much that you loose the design.
These fabulous cards are cut from one sheet of the 12 in the pack. Yep! The same sheet that was in the frame!! I just added sentiments and rhinestones. I wanted to keep them simple and duplicatable. You really don't need to add much to them.
Fellow demonstrator, Patty Bennett is the one I saw this idea from first. But she gives credit to another person named Nancy who gave credit to another named Bonnie. So you see, the idea is spreading because it's so fabulous!
With all the sympathy cards I needed last year, I'll be cutting my other sheet to make 6 "thinking of you" cards.
If you are hoarding designer paper because it is just too special, I hope you consider applying this idea. After all, if you use up the paper that you keep stashing away, you can buy new stuff! 😉
