Project Life products to the rescue!!!
I've been postponing and postponing scrapbooking my wedding photos. It seems my boys albums are always more of a priority for me. But then Project Life products appeared in the 2014-15 Stampin' Up! catalog. Demonstrators started pinning their cute & quick pages on Pinterest. I began contemplating the idea of tackling my wedding photos. And then after getting more training, ideas and inspiration at the Stampin' Up! Convention in July, I decided to just GO FOR IT. So glad I did, too!!! My 46 pages (266 photos) were assembled and finished in just 4 days.
Wanna try it out with YOUR photos?! Join me for a Project Life class if you can!
This is the first page in the album (engagement photos).
Compare this page with the one below. You can see I started out by just putting my photos and my Love Story Project Life cards in the pockets. Then I went back to all my pages, made changes if necessary, and added stamps, stickers, journaling and other accents. And it's simple to do that, too! Throughout the entire album I just used the Love Story Project Life cards, the matching Love Story Project Life Accessories Pack, Project Life stamp sets (Day to Day, Point & Click, and Remember This) and journaling pens, Basic Black card stock, 3 ink colors (Tempting Turquoise, Garden Green and Tuxedo Black) and some adhesive (Glue Dots and Dimensionals).
I really can't believe how quick and simple these beautiful pages came together.
Again…a comparison of the page before and after I added the finishing touches.
I really didn't need to do much to this page to embellish. As you can see, I added a silver heart sticker and 3 silver sequins. The cards themselves really are quite fabulous.
And each Project Life kit has boatloads of card designs, too! After 46 completed pages, I still have several cards left over to use elsewhere.
Here's another glance at a "before and after."
Below is one of my favorite spreads in the book – 3 cards that had nice quotes pretty much took care of the journaling for these photos. 🙂
Accessories can be added to photos as well as cards. Above I added banners to one photograph.
"White space" is good. Not every area of your pages needs to be filled in. I love the white space the the layouts above and below.
I promised to share a fun tropical card with you for tomorrow's post, but that may have to wait. My brother and his wife had their baby last night, so there is a lot going on right now. And that baby is first on our agendas around here. Hopefully I can pictures of their beautiful daughter soon.
In the meantime…
I would like to know how you got all your photos so small. Did you print them yourself? It is difficult to get photos processed at other than 4 X 6 sizes.
Thanks!
You don’t need to get them processed in sizes other than 4×6. The smaller ones you see are 4×4 and 4×3. I just cut my 4×6 photos with a paper trimmer to get them down to those sizes. Hope that makes sense.
