Now It's Time to Scrapbook - Stamp Your Art Out!

Now that Christmas is over, it's time to get those fabulous memories recorded into your scrapbooks. Here is a great set of pages that we made at our Scrappin' Sunday event in November. The pages were inspired by a page swap that I received from fellow demonstrator, Glenda Travelstead. (Thanks, talented lady!)

This page made by Glenda was done with Raspberry Ripple card stock, ink and designer paper. I had to change that color to Cherry Cobbler so it was more affordable for my class participants. (Cherry Cobbler is one of the colors that you can get in a pack of 12×12 as a single color. It also comes in a variety pack – Regals 12×12 Assorted.) Because the swap Glenda and I participated in was only for single pages, I created the matching page for this 12×12 spread.

During class someone came up with the brilliant idea of embossing the gold flags to match the gold ornaments, so we all ended up doing that. And I love it! I wish I could remember who that was so I could give them credit.

Two ornaments from the Christmas Collectables bundle (wood-mount or clear-mount) were stamped with Garden Green ink onto Wild Wasabi card stock. Two were just punched from the Gold Foil Sheets, and 3 were stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink onto Whisper White card stock. All of them were attached with a Dimensional and embellished with Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta ribbon (attached with Glue Dots).

The journaling area on this right-hand page was quick and easy. first we took our 3"x12" strip of Wild Wasabi card stock and wheeled it with Wild Wasabi ink. Then we placed it on our Simply Scored tool and scored it ever 3/8 of an inch. The white borders on the side are from the scraps created when making the horizontal scallop borders with the Tasteful Trim Bigz die.
