…And the big! My big room remodel (and all it's final little details) is nearing completion, but my parents had to go home to rest and get ready for the holidays. So we took a break in the action for now. We are pretty exhausted, but I am definitely appreciating & enjoying my new work space.
I'll share some more progression photos in a few days. But for today, I thought I'd share a card I made yesterday after moving a few of my supplies into my new crafting corner.
I love these little charms that are coming soon. Yep! This card has some "sneak peek" products from the upcoming Occasions (spring) Catalog. So unless you are a demonstrator, you'll have to wait until January 5th to get them for yourself.
Here are the products I used and the step-by-step directions for making this card.
Supplies:
- Stamps: 140958 Enjoy the Little Things*
- Paper:
- 100730 Whisper White cardstock (2-1/2" x 2-1/2" scrap & 4” x 5-1/4” for inside)
- 131201 Pear Pizzazz cardstock (8-1/2” x 5-1/2” folded in half for card base)
- 133678 Hello Honey cardstock (2-3/4” x 2-3/4” scrap)
- 140583 Botanical Gardens Designer Series Paper* (3” x 5-1/2”)
- Ink: 140931 Basic Black Archival Classic pad
- Other: 113439 Big Shot, 140625 Botanical Builder Framelits*, 133782 2” Circle Punch, 118874 2-3/8” Scallop Circle Punch, 138402 Silver Metallic Thread, 140570 Have a Cuppa embellishments*, 119246 Rhinestone Basic Jewels, 104332 SNAIL, 104430 Dimensionals
Instructions:
- Die-cut the designer paper using the long branch die. Attach to the top front of the card base.
- Punch a 2-3/8” Scallop Circle from the scrap of Hello Honey cardstock.
- Stamp words onto scrap of Whisper White cardstock. Then punch out with 2” Circle Punch. Adhere this white circle onto the Hello Honey scallop circle. Add SNAIL adhesive to the back side. Then add silver thread in loops so the loops appear to peek out from behind the upper left section.
- Tie each charm onto a piece of silver thread. Add to the front of the card with SNAIL so that the adhesive will be hidden under the scallop circle piece. Now add a Dimensional to each thread to really secure each charm in place.
- Add a couple more Dimensionals behind the scallop circle piece, and attach it to the front of the card.’
- Pop on a rhinestone to “dot the i” and you are done.
