ICE CREAM!
This year's Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set, Sprinkles of Life…
…is one of my favorites. There are LOTS of images and so many possibilities for creativity especially when teamed up with the coordinating Tree Builder punch. (Click here to see some cards I created for a class I held back in August using these products.)
Yesterday my scrapbookers came over and made this set of pages with the stamp set, the punch, and some other fun supplies (that I've listed and linked to my online store at the bottom of this post). I gave them a choice between the wood grain envelope paper strips (shown here) and the the bolder stripes envelope paper strips shown in photos further down.
(Thank you, Cheryl Flynn for sharing your pages that gave me inspiration for this layout!)
My measurements:
- Watermelon Wonder card stock (12" x 12” and scrap pieces for two "scoops")
- Mint Macaron card stock (12" x 12”, 2-1/2" x 2" and scrap piece for one "scoop")
- Early Espresso card stock (five pieces that are 3-3/4” x 5” and one that is 3-3/4” x 3-3/4”)
- Whisper White card stock (two pieces that are 8-1/2” x 10-1/8")
- Pink Pirouette card stock (scrap piece for one scoop)
- Soft Suede card stock (scrap piece for one scoop)
- So Saffron card stock (scrap pieces for two cones)
- In Color Envelope Paper (3 Watermelon Wonder strips that are each 12" x 3/4" and 3 Mint Macaron strips that are each 12" x 3/4")
The splatter image is from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set, but the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set has a similar image that would work.
To get the title banner to pop up this way, I used a couple Dimensionals under the bottom portion and regular SNAIL adhesive under the top edge.
I love the look of the upside-down ice cream cone. I'm not sure who originally came up with this idea, but it's a clever way to use the images in the stamp set. By the way, all the scoops of ice cream are popped up off the pages using Dimensionals.
These huge rhinestones are a product you will find in our Holiday Catalog.
We also have a fun punch in the Holiday Catalog that helped to create these corners.
Here is the other layout using the bold striped envelope paper strips.
Which layout is your favorite? I'm curious. (It was pretty much 50/50 at the class. About 12 layouts had the woodgrain strips and 12 had the bolder stripes paper.)
