Tonight we put together our Valentine treats. Luke learned how to "stamp off" to get a lighter color ink. He stamped his heart image and then stamped it again without re-inking.
(Do you love that he still is wearing his wristband from last Friday's birthday fun at the Community Center?)
We used…
- the January Filled With Love Paper Pumpkin pieces
- the Sweetheart Punch
- some Gold Foil paper
- and Whisper White card stock
…to create his Valentines.
Nicholas enjoyed punching hearts, but I had to do his stamping for him.
For his Valentines we used…
…from the Occasions Catalog.
The other supplies we used for these fun treats were…
- Whisper White card stock
- Tempting Turquoise card stock
- Blushing Bride card stock
- Red Glimmer Paper
- Clear envelopes
- the Tuxedo Black Momento Ink
- the Real Red marker
- the Handheld Staper & Staples
- the Sweetheart Punch
- and the heart punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.
Two tips: Staple "backwards" so that the rough side is towards the front so it gets covered by the hearts and other card stock layers AND have the opening of the clear envelope on the bottom so that the recipient can open the bag without having the take off the topper.
My friend and fellow demonstrator, Stephanie Wallin made some adorable Valentines for her kiddo. Check these out! She used the My Digital Studio program, printed her design on Whisper White card stock, and stapled them to the treat-filled 4×6 Cello Bags.
If you are still working on your Valentine treats, I hope these projects gave you a little inspiration.
