I won’t be going live today on YouTube. But I DO have some fun cards to share with you in today’s blog post.
I flew out to Raleigh, North Carolina yesterday. Stampin’ Up!’s convention, OnStage begins Thursday. And our team event is tonight. We have a good size group here. So Susan Campfield and I rented room space at the convention center for our team to gather, connect, create, share, swap, and take group photos. We are so excited and can’t wait for the fun to begin! And we are super happy that our team event will be at the start of OnStage rather than at the end like last year.
In the planning for the event, we designed a few different cards using products from the new Lovely Garden Suite. I’m not sharing those with you yet, because that would spoil the surprise for those attending tonight. But I am sharing one of the cards we didn’t choose. It’s quite simple, but it’s also very eye-catching. In fact after creating it, I wanted to see how that pattern would work with other papers and products. So I kept creating and came up with three MORE cards. I’d love to know if you have a favorite. Comment below by the end of the week. And on Sunday when I get home, I will draw a random name from those who commented and that person will win a small prize.
The layout is the same for each card, and the main products I used are listed below and linked to my Online Store if you’d like to shop and place and order (or at least add them to your wish list).
Measurements…
- Basic White Cardstock
- 4-1/4” x 11″ scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
- Designer paper
- Pattern #1: 2″ x 3″ for front
- Pattern #2: 1″ x 3″ for front, 3″ x 3″ for inside
- Pattern #3: 1″ x 3″ for front, 1″ x 3″ for inside
- Coordinating cardstock/s
- 1-1/8″ x 3-1/8″
- scraps for accents
Tips…
- Adhere the top and bottom designer papers first 5/8″ from the outer edges of the white base.
- Add the middle layered stamped section with Dimensionals while also tucking and adhering accent cardstock pieces in and around.
- Then finish the front design by adding embellishments.
- On the inside adhere the top and bottom designer papers about 5/8″ from the outer edges of the white base.
Here are photos of the finished cards. This one uses products from the Lovely Garden Suite.

This one uses products from the Friends of the Ocean Suite.

This one uses the Sentimental Park Bundle and the To Market Paper.

A this one uses the Bough Punch, the Unbounded Love Stamp Set, and the Perennial Lavender Paper.

Thanks for stopping by to see what I had to share today. Don’t forget to vote on your favorite or at least add a comment below for a chance at winning a prize.

They are all beautiful! But if I had to choose it would have to be Perennial Lavender because it’s purple! Love the bough punch leaves too. Your stamp set is my go to for nearly every card. Thank you for the inspiration and sharing all your amazing projects!
Thanks for voting Kim! Thank you for your kind words. (You are so good to me.) And I can’t tell how happy I am to know that Layering Leaves is one of your “go to” sets.
All of the cards are adorable. It’s a toss up between Lovely Garden and Perennial Lavender for a favorite.
Thanks for voting Pat! Glad you like them all though too.
Like the purple one the best because purple is my favorite color. Have fun this week.
thanks Beckie!
I love the Ocean Friends the best. It’s colorful and just so Springy!! They are all great cards though.
Hope you are having a great time at convention!!
Thanks Debbie!
I like the Lovely Garden card! It’s beautiful all though they all are!
Appreciate your vote, Jo Ann. And glad you like them all. Thanks!
I too love them all, but if I had to choose I’d pick the Friends of the sea – just because I didn’t particularly love that bundle but when I see things made from it my mind changes! Hope you are having fun at OnStage! Safe travels home!!
Thanks Timi! The fun has already begun and the actual event hasn’t even started. Hahaha! And thanks for your vote!
Like the purple one the best because purplr is my favorite color.
A great reason to choose that card. Thanks Beckie!
Hello, my vote is for the Lovely Garden Suite. Have fun in Raleigh!
Thanks Cathy! 😘
They are all excellent combinations of DSP but the “Thanks” To Market is my favorite!
Have a great time in NC!
Awesome! Thanks Dawn.
I really like the elegance of the sympathy card.
Great, versatile design!
Claudia ✨
Thank you so much Claudia!
I love the simplicity and elegance of these cards. My favorite is the lovely lavender with the beautiful purple and punched leaves. I also like the Friends of the Sea as I am always looking for ideas to use that set.
Yay! Thanks SuzAnn.
Friends of the Ocean! Those colors absolutely tickle my toes! But, all the cards are fabulous and the layout is a winner.
It’s just after 11am here in Kansas and I was missing your LIVE so I decided to check your blog. Thanks so much for taking the time to say hello and send us something fun! Have a spectacular time and I look forward to seeing what you bring back!!!
Yes, bright sunshiny colors are appealing. For sure!
Thanks so much Debby. 😘
The third one, Purple is one of my favorite colors, card is lovely!
Thanks for all your inspiration.
Thanks for your vote Nancy!
Rachel, all of these are wonderful and appeal to me for different reasons. I’ve been a fan of the Perennial Lavender DSP since Day1, so I ‘ll cast my vote for that. And I’ll NEVER “retire” your stamp set—although, one of these days it may disintegrate from over-use 😉
Thanks for your unending creativity. We are so blessed by your generous sharing.
Thanks for the giggle, Linda! So glad you love my set. 😘
Thanks for your sweet comment and your vote, too!
I love the Lovely Garden one – just got that suite. But the Perennial Lavender paper has been a favorite since I first set eyes on it. I love the easy design – thank you!
My favorite card sample is the Lovely Garden Suite. I love the simplicity of your card creations that works well with any DSP.
Enjoy your time at OnStage and I’m anxious to hear about all the news when you return.
Thanks so much Lana!
Hugs to you Joanne! Thanks for participating in the vote!
I don’t know if I signed up right for the possible drawing, but I hope so

I don’t know if I signed up right for the possible drawing, but I hope so
My Favorites are the Lovely Garden and the Perennial Lavender cards – I really like the simple layering on those two .
Thanks for your vote Cheryl!
The lavender might be my fave but these are so clever! That’s why I subscribe to creative people like you who have the smarts like I don’t.

They are all beautiful, but my fav is the Lovely Garden. So pretty!
Have a wonderful time at the conference. Looking forward to all the new ideas you’ll be sharing afterwards.
Thank you SOOoo much Sharon!
Love them all, but the lavender really spoke loudly to me!
Love the layout! I just recently found you and love how you make it seem so easy to recreate your designs. All of the cards are really adorable. My two favorites are the Lovely Garden and Perennial Lavender.
Hugs to you Mary! Thanks for your vote and your sweet words.
Thanks Rachel! So great to connect your name to your face on your profile pic. And don’t we have the best first name ever?! 😉
I love the Lovely Gardens card the best. It gets my vote.
Thank you Nancy!
I hope you are enjoying NC!
All are nice but my favorite would be the “To Market “ DSP, thanks card!
Raleigh was lovely! Thanks Dawn. And thanks for your vote!
I’m team purple so the one using the Perennial Lavender DSP gets my vote!
Great! Thanks Cindy!
I really like all four cards. They are different and beautiful! My favorite is the first, green one, Thankful for you. I would probably not put the larger piece on the inside, as I like to write on white cardstock for a message. I would probably only put the smaller strip inside. Thank you for always inspiring!
Thanks for sharing Rebecca. Isn’t it great that we can alter card ideas to work for our design preferences? Thanks for voting too.
the lavender is my favorite. I like the layout!
Thank you so much Joan!
They are all great carda but my favorite would be the ocean one. Love the colors
Thanks Connie!
Oh! It’s really hard to say! Each card evokes its own emotion…I think if I came back another time, I’d choose a different one. The Friends of the Sea wins my vote at this moment in time. We are having beautiful warm weather today in Texas where I am. These colors shout SUMMER and lounging a bit outside…maybe at the beach? (You wouldn’t find me in the water here yet, though!)
Enjoy your travels, Bonnie. Thanks for your thoughts and your vote!
Friend of the Ocean. Make me long foR summer
Thanks Bonnie!
Hello Rachel,
I like them all. My favorite is the green one.
Thanks for sharing some creative ideas.
Thank you Lesa!
I liked the first one the best but hard to decide.
Hope you are having fun and are getting filled with lots of inspiration there.
Thanks so much Marsha!
My vote is for the Lovely Garden Suite card. Love any DSP with flowers.
I hear ya on the flowers comment. Thanks for voting Linda!
You are an inspiration to many! Thank you for the email content filled with great ideas for me to learn and to use. The additional cards are easy, simple and would make anyone smile to receive. My favorite card used the Bough Punch and the sympathy sentiment. Also, the layering leaves stamp set you designed is amazing and I reach for it often.
Can you feel my hugs!? Thank you so much Holly. What a sweet message. And thanks for your vote.
I love Ocean Friends! Those bright colors make me sooo happy. All are great cards, all have such a different vibe! Have fun at Onstage and I’m sure your event will be amazing!
Thanks so very much Cindie!
It has to be the Bough Punch card! All of them are beautiful, but the Bough Punch card punched my ticket!
Aww…Glad you enjoyed that card, Jamie! It’s my favorite punch!
I just ordered the Bough Punch. Love the Lavender!
Thanks for voting Liz!
LOVE them all, but I’m always a sucker for Perennial Lavendar. TFS!
It’s a beautiful paper for sure!
