In the midst of preparing for a large stamping event that kicks off this weekend (Demos Galore), I had to cancel my YouTube Live event that normally happens at 11 AM Central Time on Wednesdays. I decided my body couldn’t do it all. LOL So..my apologies to those of you who visited my channel today to look for it. But I needed time to work on event projects & preparations AND keep up with my usual tasks. Thanks for your understanding.
Though I don’t have a video, I do want to share today here in my blog this fun Corner Cut-Out Card I made with the Turtle Friends stamp images, Blending Brushes, the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder, and the Encircled In Beauty Dies.
I love how the Hammered Metal Embossing Folder really lends itself well to the look of a turtle shell! The dies in the Encircled in Beauty collection have a unique, fancy edging that did a bit more for me than just a regular circle die would offer. And this stamp set has great images and fun sentiments.
Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements…
- Evening Evergreen Cardstock
- 4-1/4” x 11” scored parallel to short side at 5-1/2”
- Shimmery White Cardstock
- 4-1/16″ x 5-5/16″
- Pear Pizzazz Cardstock
- 4-1/16″ x 5-5/16″
- Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon
- 17″
Directions…
- Die-cut the Shimmery White Cardstock.
- Add what is remaining to the front of the Evening Evergreen Cardstock card base with only a small amount of adhesive so it can be removed later. Line up the die, and die-cut the Evening Evergreen to remove the corner.
- Emboss the Shimmery White.
- Then use the Blending Brushes to add color.
- Reattach this to the front of the card base. Add the Pear Pizzazz layer to the inside of the card. Add the die-cut circle to the Pear Pizzazz layer filling in the “hole.” (The straight edges of the white should line up with the straight edges of the Pear Pizzazz.
- Stamp the turtle outline image, the hearts, and the sentiment with Evening Evergreen ink. Ink up the shell image in all three colors using Sponge Daubers, then stamp the image to complete the turtle.
- Tie on the ribbon.
