I was super excited to see chalk pastels back in our line of products on page 126 of the new 2021-22 Annual Catalog. (It can also be found in the online store by clicking here.) There are quite a few differences between our old product called Stampin’ Pastels and our new called Soft Pastels (size & shape, color selection, price, etc.). But I’m excited with the new configuration AND the versatility that this coloring medium will provide paper crafters who love Stampin’ Up! products.
I just showed live on YouTube about an hour ago a couple methods for achieving the Poppin’ Pastels technique (remember that one?). I showed how to use this technique to create a beautiful sympathy card with Stampin’ Up!’s new Soft Pastels, the Rainbow Glimmer Paper, the In Color Jewels, and the retiring Vine Design Stamp Set & coordinating Flowering Vines Dies. And now I’m sharing that video here in my blog post. Be sure to watch the video by clicking here (or you can just click on this image below if you are already on my blog post), scroll through the close-up photos that follow, check out the measurements & products list below, and then let me know if you have any questions.
I hope you enjoyed what I shared in this video. Below are measurements, close-up photos, and a product list for what I demonstrated. Love, love, love this card. I don’t have this stamp set but I believe I can do this with last October or November’s Paper Pumpkin – the fine with the circles. I can’t wait to get the pastels to try this. Thank you.
Glad this card inspired you!
Loved the tutorial on Vine Design & Poppin’ Pastels. Can’t wait to do my own. Your teaching method is so easy to follow.
Thank you so much Sheryl. ❤️
Loved your cards. Watching exactly one week late.
Thank you Pam!
