Just an update for those of you who ordered one or more of my 2018 Occasions Catalog product shares…I expedited the ribbons because that’s the share that usually take so long to prepare. And then I ended up getting four wonderful friends of mine to come over to help me wrap those ribbons around all those stacks of chipboard! Thanks Kayla, Nancy, Julie and Vicki!
I’m still waiting on the rest of the products which are due to arrive late afternoon on the 10th, but my goal now (with that ribbon all ready) is to get the product shares all in the mail by this Friday (way sooner than I originally forecasted)! Yay!
By now most of you that order from me regularly have your new catalogs in hand. If you don’t, click on “shop” in the menu bar at the top, and choose “catalogs.” Or if you are reading this in your email because you subscribe to my blog, click HERE to get to my catalogs page where you can download and view the latest publications. There are some fabulous new goodies in them!
It features several new products from the Bubble Over Collection…
I wanted to keep the card pretty simple since several would need to make it quickly during the event. But there are few fun tricks we did to make the card look quite festive. We put the bottles up on Dimensionals, used the designer paper for the bottle labels, embossed the background cardstock with the Falling Softly embossing folder for a more carbonated look, and…
added these adorable Epoxy Shapes for more bubbles that you just want to reach out and touch!
To get the light brown bubbles, we just “stamped off” the ink onto scrap paper first a couple times before stamping the bubbles image again onto the cardstock.
If you’d like to recreate this card, here are the measurements:
- Bermuda Bay Cardstock: 11″ x 4-1/4″ scored at 5-1/2″ and folded in half for card base
- Chocolate Chip Cardstock: 5-1/4″ x 4″ and scraps for die-cutting the bottles
- Whisper White Cardstock: 2 pieces that are 3″ x 5-1/4″ (one for the inside of the card)
- Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper (colored bubbles on white): 3″ x 2-1/2″
- Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper (Burmuda Bay stripes): scrap for die-cutting the bottle label
- Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper (Calypso Coral with white swirly lines): scrap for die-cutting the bottle label
- Calypso Coral 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon: about 4″ to wrap around the white (use Fast Fuse to hold in place in the back) and about 2-1/2″ to tie into a knot and stick on the card with a Glue Dot
Here are a couple more cards that I recently received in a swap showing off these fun products.
Look at the texture in the bottle caps! Those dies not only cut but emboss, too.
And here is another card with this fun designer paper.
Thanks Terri Phelps and Sandy Carlson!
