I was immediately drawn to this Floral Statements stamp set on page 163 in the 2017-18 Annual Catalog. The two stamp images in this set themselves when stamped and colored on a simple note card are all you need. But of course I had to add in a bit more, and so I came up with these two designs. I hope you like them.
If you wish to recreate them, here are measurements and a few directions to guide you. (The products I used to make them are shown below and linked to my online store.)
Measurements:
- Whisper White Thick Cardstock:
- (base of card) 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" and
- (top layer) 4-1/2" x 3-1/4"
A Few Directions:
- Emboss the front of the folded 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Whisper White card base with the Pinewood Planks embossing folder. Use the sponge brayer and roll on Smoky Slate ink to tint wood planks.
- Stamp the "Thanks" or "Hello" image onto the 4-1/2" x 3-1/4" Whisper White piece using the Memento Ink. Color floral images with Watercolor Pencils, then use the Blender Pen to soften the color and create a watercolored look.
- Flip over and add a 1/2 Delicate White Doily to the left edge.
- Attach this layer to the front of the card using Dimensionals.
- Tuck in and attach a 1/2 Metallic Doily under the white doily.
- Add a few Rhinestones if you wish.

I’m just catching up on my blog reading and had to write, albeit late, to say how much I love these cards! Your coloring is awesome and I love your embossing as a base for the flowers. Super job. Thanks for sharing.
You’re sweet. Thanks Susan. That is one of my most favorite embossing folders!
