I'm having fun with the new motorcycle set, One Wild Ride (available in wood-mount or clear-mount). Have you seen it yet? I remember some years back Stampin' Up! had a single motorcycle stamp that sold like hotcakes. I knew of many people searching for it after it retired. So if you are a fan of motorcycles, you may want to get your hands on this stamp set.

I don't own a Harley, I've never ridden on one, nor do I own anything motorcycle-ish besides this stamp set. But I HAD to get it when the catalog was released in June. I love it!

There are a ton of fun images in it, and it's a great stamp set for when a masculine card is needed. Or course females ride, too. So why not make a feminine card with some floral paper like I did. 🙂

My original design looked like this.

I added shimmer with a few rhinestones and some brushed-on Wink of Stella on the Born To Ride banner.

But I wanted more shine. So I embossed a piece of Silver Foil, lifted the layers up onto Dimensionals, and slipped the Silver Foil underneath.

I also moved the rhinestones to the banner and the front wheel.

Measurements:

  • Basic Black Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" folded in half for the card base
  • Crumb Cake Cardstock: 4" x 2-1/2", 4" x 5-1/4" for the inside and a small scrap that's at least 3-1/2" x 1-1/4" for the word banner
  • Real Red Cardstock: 4-1/8" x 2-3/8"
  • Affectionately Yours Designer Paper: 4" x 3-1/2"
  • Silver Foil Sheet: 4" x 3-1/2"

Tips:

  • When embossing the silver foil sheet be sure to have the shiny side in the folder the correct way so that the embossed design will push outward. I always position the embossing folder in front of me with the logo side up and then place the paper inside with the shiny side up.
  • Stamp the banner image before die-cutting it. Stamp the motorcycle and dirt images onto the other Crumb Cake piece.
  • Assemble the whole card. Use Dimensionals under the banner and under the designer paper layer.
  • And THEN brush on the Wink of Stella onto the banner piece. Allow the Wink of Stella to dry before adding the rhinestones.
