I'm excited and honored to be presenting this coming Sunday at a huge event here in Minnesota called Creative Connections. Several of us Stampin' Up! demonstrators are putting this event on for our our teams. And it promises to be spectacular!
I'll be demonstrating ideas with the Serene Scenery Suite of products shown on pages 102 & 103 in the 2016-17 Annual Catalog. So for the last couple weeks I've had those beautiful designer papers on my mind with everything I've been putting together. To get my creative juices flowing I went to Pinterest and did a search on samples made with these papers. Then I began copying a few of those samples and ones I liked from the catalog.
I thought this catalog sample was a pretty one. (You can find it on page 102.)
I loved the detail that the original designer put into this project. The white doily tucked behind is the back side of a metallic doily. And I thought it was fun how the ribbon is just zig-zagged underneath those layers.
The sample shown in the catalog was just a closed bag. So I presumed that there was a card inside the glassine bag. This is where I put my own creative twist into the project – I designed what I thought the card inside looked like.
For the card I used another metallic doily, but this time stamped the "Hey there, Friend" image in Pool Party ink.
I made sure that these added elements were low enough not to be seen when the card was in the bag.
And I added a small gold accent on the dot of the "i" – a Gold Metallic Enamel Shape.
