One of my favorite bundles in this year's catalog is the Flourishing Phrases stamp set & coordinating Flourish Thinlits. Last Sunday I shared one of the two cards that my class attendees made at my Breakfast Club event. This one below is the second card they made at that event.
I loved the cards that Lyssa Zwolanek had created and shared. And I HAD to make something similar! For this event though, cards have to be quick and easy. So this card shown here is a much simpler version of the ones Lyssa had shared. This one is made with one thinlit only.
I decorated the inside with the coordinating floral image in the stamp set.
Measurements:
- Basic Black Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" folded in half for the card base, 3-1/2" x 5" for die-cutting and small scrap
- Mint Macaron Cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4" (two pieces) and small scrap
Tips:
- Die-cut the 3-1/2" x 5" Basic Black with the floral swirly design. I highly recommend using the Precision Plate for die-cutting and the Big Shot Die Brush for helping to remove the cardstock from the die afterwards.
- Attach the die-cut shape to a 4" x 5-1/4" Mint Macaron piece using the Fine Tip Glue. Be sure not to use too much adhesive. Any that seeps out will dry shiny and be noticeable. Lay a book or a clear block over the die-cut to help hold it in place while the glue bonds a bit.
- Stamp the front card sentiment onto the Mint Macaron scrap and die-cut with an oval framelit. Die-cut the Black cardstock with the scallop oval die that matches.
- Stamp images and words on the inner 4" x 5-1/4" Mint Macaron layer.
- Assemble the card with SNAIL and Dimensionals. Then add the pearls.
