A lot has happened this past week. The boys started school. Nicholas is now in 4th grade and has the concerns of a teenager, and Luke who is in 3rd grade already wishes every day was a weekend day. This is them just before their first day of school and at our after school celebration snack at Sweet Toppings last Tuesday.
This last Saturday my "mama" demonstrator, Susan Campfield and I held our 3rd biannual Demos Galore event. Demonstrators on our team helped to make it a success by assisting with check-in, ordering, refreshments, displays and demonstrating new products around the room. Our customers that attended had a grand time learning new ideas, seeing new items from the Holiday Catalog, winning prizes, etc.
Vicki Bibeau wowed us with her adorable 3-D boxes she created with the Baker's Box Die.
Brenda & Tim Georgi made super adorable Halloween projects using the new Halloween Treat bundle.
And Cori Judge shared the Tin of Cards kit, how easy the kit cards can be assembled, and alternate card ideas she created with the kit contents.
And now I am off to attend my Founder's Circle trip! I left this morning and plan to be sharing some photos of the fun soon.
Part of the fun is the Pajama Party and swap night. And here is what I made for my swaps.
I got inspired by a card I saw by Jenni Pauli.
To create the page, I first laid out my page elements to get an idea of how they would fit.
Then I took a small plate and used that as a guide to map out where my word images would go. This was just a "rough sketch." Notice my final page didn't have the same look.
Then I traced the plate and made measurement lines on the inside of the middle circle so I could stamp the words repeatedly in the same location on all my 110 swap pages. (YES! 110) Thats 2,200 stamped images, 990 cut/punched layers of card stock, 1,540 embellishments!
Thankfully I was able to get a little help.
And I'm still not really done. I'll be putting them together on the plane and in the hotel lobby until I get them done.
Sleep is overrated, right?
