I was on a crafting retreat last weekend. And even though overall I was pretty unproductive with my scrapbooks, I managed to make this spread that I'm excited to share.
I made it using 2014 Holiday Catalog products: the Under the Tree Tag A Bag Accessory Kit…
…All Is Calm Snowflake embellishments…
…and the Ornamental Pine stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount).
(A full list of supplies is listed at the bottom of this post where items are linked to my online store if you wish to learn more or make a purchase. Purchased made in my online store may quality for Loyalty Rewards.)
The 12" green strips come from the tag a bag kit. No need to cut either. The skinny ones are inbetween the wider ones on the sticker sheet.
I'm a rhinestone girl, so I add rhinestones to my projects often. On these pages I have added them up and down the length of the green strips and on Candy Dot bases (brads) on the tags.
These close-ups show a little more detail. I used my Project Life Journaling pen (.01) to add dots extending out from my rhinestones. I made the ones closest to the rhinestones a little thicker. Yes, I "free-handed" them, but they weren't difficult to draw.
Can you see in this photo below that there is glitter inside the snowflake embellishment? I used a glue dot to attach the snowflake, and the adhesive in the center was still visible. So the glitter served two purposes: it added more glitz to the pages (which I had no objection to) and it covered up the glue dot showing through in the center.
I LOVE creating scrapbook pages from our products that were intended for something else!
On a side note, I just got an email yesterday from the Paper Pumpkin Youtube channel sharing the October kit that will arrive at my doorstep any day. Do you want to see the newest kit?!
It's a fun one just as it is, but I'm excited for the challenge to create scrapbook pages with it. (I make at least one set of 12×12 pages with every Paper Pumpkin kit. Wanna see more ideas I've made using past kits? Click here and scroll down to my past kit idea links.)
Thanks for visiting today!
