Happy Tuesday morning everyone! Sorry my posts have been sporadic lately. I've been on an irregular schedule this month. I told you in my last two posts (10/14 and 10/17) that I was away at a crafting retreat the weekend of the 10th, and then just this past weekend I was away (without much access to the internet) on a business retreat put on by the fabulous Lisa Pretto.

I was a bit stressed that I haven't been able to share in my blog much, but I sure needed these get-aways. They both re-charged me in different ways.

So I'm back and I'm excited to share!

Keep in mind that it's Tuesday today, so the Weekly Deals that you see scrolling on the right have been updated. And look… There are fabulous ribbons and embossing folders on sale!

Embossing folders are a fun way to give your cards texture. Today's featured card definitely has some texture.

A card with fun colors & angles textured with several embossing folders and stamped with a personalized Circle Monogram image… #stampyourartout #stampinup - Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

I designed this card last summer right after our 2014-15 Annual Catalog was released. I wanted to show off several embossing folders at once, because this card was given as a gift along with an "embossing folder sampler" to those demonstrators in my team that attended the 2014 Stampin' Up! Convention with me.

To create the angled sections, I first cut out card stock pieces that were 2-3/4" x 4-1/4". Then I trimmed them at an angle using my paper trimmer, embossed them and attached them to the front of the card.

This card is actually quite quick to make. I love the fun multi-textured effect. And I think this color combination is quite rich. (I fell in love with this combination after creating the invites for Micala's baby shower.) Be sure to check out the supplies I used to make it. They are listed and linked to my online store at the bottom of this post.

Enjoy the rest of your day, and thanks for stopping to see me.
