These are THE BEST chocolates. So having a cute package to present them in makes sense, right? Here is a fun Ghirardelli treat holder we made at our August Stamp Camp a couple weekends back.
I started with a base piece of 11" x 2-3/4" Rich Razzleberry card stock that was scored at 2-3/4", 3", 6-7/8" and 7-1/8". I folded it together so that the longer flap was under the shorter. Then I attached a piece of 3-1/2" x 2-1/2" Daffodil Delight card stock on top using only Dimensionals under the left edge allowing the shorter Rich Razzleberry flap to open and close (as shown in the photo below).
All supplies used to make this project are listed at the bottom of this post and linked to my online store (in case you want to get your hands on these fun items).
I attached the Ghirardelli chocolate to the inside with a couple Dimensionals. And then I decorated up the front using extra layers of card stock, the Sassy Salutations stamp set, rhinestones and Blendabilities markers.
Here is the treat holder I received a few years ago by my friend and upline, Susan Camfield. I hung onto it knowing some day I would want to make another with current product.
(So this particular chocolate is pretty darn old!)
Here are a couple other versions that I had on display for my stampers at class. You can see how just these few simple products to make this fun treat holder could be used to brighten someone's day in so many ways. Who wouldn't want to find this in their lunch bag or on their desk at work?
The idea for the front design came to me from Pinterest. I LOVE Pinterest! Thank you, Susan Raihala for posting your card!
Of course I HAD to make cards as well. This was one of my Convention swap cards – SO SIMPLE, too!
I'm very happy that Stampin' Up!'s new Blendabilities markers allow us to color our accessories – rhinestones, pearls, buttons, brads, etc. (Keep in mind that you'll want to color your rhinestones with Blendabilities BEFORE you take them off the rhinestone sheet and apply them to your project or card.)
Have a great Friday everyone!
