I have a few cards I've been wanting to share with you – cards made by others (swaps!). I loved them so much I used them in past classes/events.
This first card made by Kathy Ferguson has a lovely composition using the beloved stamp set, Summer Silhouettes (available in wood-mount or clear-mount).
And I love the sparkle with Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and self-adhesive Rhinestones.
This next card by Michelle Huff is a nice classic birthday card. She used two stamp sets: Embellished Events (available in wood-mount or clear-mount) and Bring On The Cake (available in wood-mount or clear-mount).
(Click here to see posts telling & showing how to color your stamp rubber with markers.)
This masculine card by Sandy Carlson was pretty popular. By The Tide (available in wood-mount or clear-mount) is one of my favorite sets. You can click here to see the birthday card I made my sister last year. Here are a few more posts showing pages and cards I've made with this set: 3/27/13, 4/16/13, and 6/27/13 with 2/3/14.
Texture is achieved with Stampin' Dimensionals under the fish and the next layer down. And of course, the embossed Smokey Slate card stock adds even more depth. I love that Chevron Embossing Folder!
The next two cards I used at past Card Café events, but I don't have any record anymore of who made the originals. 🙁
I love this next one using Wetlands (available in wood-mount or clear-mount)! Simple and stunning.
The color is applied with painter's tape. Place a strip of tape sticky side down on a stamp pad to ink it up. Then lay it on the card stock. It's a fun way to apply color!
This is my altered version of the original swap card, but it still has a lot of detail: a two tone embossed butterfly, a Tea Lace Doily, a knot of Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, a bit of Modern Medley Designer Paper, and more!
The Fancy Fan embossed butterfly looks great either way (line detail up or down) as you can see in these photos. And many phrases in the Sweet Essentials set (available in wood-mount or clear-mount) work well with the design of this card.
I hope you enjoyed viewing all these cards today.
