I'm gearing up for more Epic Day This & That Journaling Classes – January 14th and February 8th. Wanna come?!

Today I thought I'd share some of the pages I've finished in mine so far. I'm determined to get mine done by mid summer! (And now that I've announced that goal on my blog, I'd better do it. Hahaha) I also have a few class attendees that are just as determined. In fact, I think Vicki is almost done with hers. Way to go, Vicki!

The goal for each of us? Capture and preserve a year in our lives: photos, memories, likes and dislikes, favorites, places, traditions, etc. We always scrapbook the lives of those around us. This class helps you focus on YOU. And as my friend, Belinda told me…It's theraputic.

Here's the cover of my journal.

I LOVE that our Hexagon punch coordinates with the cover design of the Epic Day Journal. You'll also notice that I've used the coordinating Epic Day products (papers, colors, stickers, and accessories) to build and create the pages in my journal. But for the sake of "sanity" and time, I haven't listed all the products I used since there are a LOT! Please message me if there is something you want me to give you more information about.

Here's my acrostic poem page. The journal comes with designer paper pages.

I love the fun paper clips we carry: Hung Up Cute Clips and Essentials Hardware Clips. Here's the "word bubble" clip from the Hung Up collection.

In this class I make all my punches, dies, inks, stamps, etc. available, and we have at it all. Some participants copy the layout of my pages, some create on their own. But everyone gets assigned "homework" to be completed ahead of time. Those coming to their first class have a goal of certain pages to complete. Those coming for the second time have another set of pages assigned to them. And so on. I tell them what pages they'll be working on and give them ideas of photos, pictures, words, thoughts, etc. to bring.

Here is the spread I did about my favorite place. (Those coming to class to work on these pages gather photos, images, memorabilia ahead of time about their favorite place/s.)

Here are the pages showing my family. (I may have to update these photos if it takes me much longer to complete this book.) Some attendees have photos of their extended family members as well. I just decided to keep it to those that live in our house.

Another cute clip from the Hung Up collection – a hanger.

Here are the pages about my favorite colors. Notice the ampersand clip on the top right of the left page? That one is from the Essentials Hardware collection.

I also added Rhinestones to make it look like this jewelry photo is an actual necklace.

Ahhh… Favorite smells. (Instead of a photo of Christmas trees, I stamped trees with the Lovely As A Tree stamp set & Always Artichoke ink.)

I still need to complete this spread – favorite songs.

One of the stickers in the Epic Day Stickers packet is the yellow one shown below. It's perfect for these pages! To make a little record, just put a small white punched out circle onto a large black one! Easy peasy!

These were fun pages to do. I didn't add photos. Instead I made a list of what I am thankful for.

I'm looking forward to seeing what my class participants come up with on their pages. If you want to see a few other ideas from those that took my first class, click here.

What are your resolutions for 2014?
