Thankful In Many Ways

It's a chilly day, so I've got a candle burning and filling the house with the smell of fall. Interesting how this time of year brings forth reflection. And as I sit and reflect, I am reminded how VERY thankful I am for so much. Life is good.

So today I thought I'd share a 12×12 Scrapbook Spread that I'm so very proud of titled "Thankful." I'm looking forward to filling it with photos, but first my stampers at my upcoming retreat will be recreating it at a free held class during the retreat.

I used the very popular starburst technique on the left page. Check out this post to get directions on this technique, but use 9" x 3" strips of designer paper instead of 4" x 1-1/2".

I sponged Early Espresso ink on the papers to give them a weathered look, and I also used the bone folder to curl the leaves and edges/corners of the lined paper.

By the way, many of the pieces on this spread come from the Thankful Tablescape Simply Created Kit – the die-cut leaves, the lined paper, and several of the paper pieces.

I love that our Antique Brads now come in a shiny gold! Just kidding. I embossed this one with gold embossing powder so it would match the Gold Foil Sheet from which I die-cut the word "thankful."

Here I used two ribbons – our new Burlap Ribbon from the Holiday catalog and the Baked Brown Sugar Ruffle Stretch Ribbon. They look great together – coordinating colors and fun textures!

Oh my gosh! Did you notice (because I didn't until now) that I didn't use even one stamp on these page! Wow.
