It's always worth it to participate in swaps with other stampers. And Convention time is one of the best times to swap. The talent that is out there!…
I've shared a couple batches of swap cards (on July 23rd and on August 1st) from Convention already. Here is another set of six cards.
I love this pattern. You wouldn't even need to have all three coordinating ink pads. You could get this tone on tone effect with VersaMark ink.
Here is a card with lots of great texture – the Beautifully Baroque embossed card stock, the Pistachio Pudding ruffled ribbon, the 3-D effect with the Dimensionals under the message, and the pierced holes from the templates in the Essentials Paper-Piercing pack.
Embossing your stamped images always gives a much more elegant and crisp look. Here Jolene used our fabulous Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.
Gotta love the to-go cup from the Perfect Blend stamp set (wood-mount or clear-mount)! This is perfect image for the "Paper Piecing" technique – stamping your image onto your base card stock, stamping it again on a patterned paper (or another solid), and then cutting out just a portion of the patterned paper image and layering it over the base image.
It's always okay to "bling up" a wedding card! Silver glimmer paper, silver 1/8" ribbon and the Vintage Faceted Designer buttons add lots of glitz here.
Adding washi tape is a quick and easy way to get a strip of patterned color onto your card or project. This set of tape is one of my favorites (Gingham Garden).
