We try to make it up to Northern Minnesota to my parents' place (the cabin) every 4th of July, and this year was no exception. We didn't get in much swimming, though. If the wind wasn't blowing hard, then it was cloudy and the flies were biting. But, no complaints about the temperature. We were able to sleep with windows open! And despite the lack of getting in the lake, we did have fun – did puzzles, watched Dispicable Me, ate a lot (had big, fluffy waffles each morning), went berry pickin', played with cars and legos, wore glow braclets and ate s'mores around a campfire,…

…and stamped a TON of cards!

This weekend is always the one where I'm stamping like a mad woman so I can get a lot of swaps ready for the Stampin' Up!® Convention. I leave in now only 8 days! So I'm in a stamp frenzy mode! Though I'm busy making a ton of cards, I do take that 'down time' with family. And a bonus to stamping cards at the cabin is that my mom is there to help me out. THANKS MOM!

This year, I've got a few extra cards than normal. I'm making the invites for Bob and Micala's (my brother and his fiancée's) wedding. So I got their help with the creasing and "sticky stripping" this weekend.

We didn't get them done (the ink ran light), so I'll be finishing them up this week too. But overall, a VERY productive and super fun weekend. Hope you had a great 4th of July weekend as well.
