This is the card that my club members are making this weekend.
I posted it earlier on my blog, but today I'm going to give a little more detail with step-by-step directions for getting the card started.
After cutting your card base to 4-1/4"x11" (a half sheet of card stock), score corner to corner.
To get the second crease to intersect the first halfway at 90 degrees, fold the card stock so that those two corners meet.
Now for the designer paper… Be sure to use coordinating double-side Designer Series paper. You will see both sides! Start with a 10-3/4"x4" sheet of Designer Series paper (DSP). Cut diagonally corner to corner.
Then following the longest edge on each piece of DSP, fold corner to corner to create the dividing line where you will cut these so you'll end up with 4 pieces.
Matching the shapes as in a puzzle, attach the two larger pieces of DSP to one side of the card base. Then flip over the card base and attach the smaller pieces of DSP. Notice you'll have to flip the DSP over as well to make them fit. Thus the reason you need to use double-sided DSP.
Time to fold it into a card. Start with the long diagonal crease line.
Then bring the two matching sides together. And tie in the middle with a ribbon to secure.
You'll have two pockets if you wish (one in the front and one on the inside). The perfect size for giving a gift card. Or you could secure the pockets shut with adhesive if you prefer.
This card will fit into the medium-sided envelopes that hold 5-1/2"x4-1/4" cards.
Hoped this step-by-step visual tutorial helped you out so you can create your own Twisted Fun-Fold cards.
