This August 21st my husband, Tim and I will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary.
Any chance I get to scrapbook, I typically work on my kids books, so our wedding photos (sad to admit) have been sitting in stored-away boxes. Pitiful, huh?
When Stampin' Up! announced they'd be partnering with Becky Higgins and carrying Project Life® products, I was hesitant even though LOTS of fellow demonstrators were super excited. I didn't get it. But the more I learned about the Project Life approach to memory keeping, and the more I saw the beautiful pages that others were creating, the more I realized how I could apply this line of products to my own photos that were piling up in the corners of my rooms.
I purchased the Love Story Card Collection and Accessory Pack and some Page Protectors, pulled out and sorted through my 10-year old wedding photos, and got to work.
I am NOT lying when I tell you… I'm getting this album done very quickly!… Eighteen pages done in 4 hours one day about a week ago!! And just this weekend I logged another 7 hours to add the remainder of the photos, Love Story cards, and the embellishments. I now have 266 photos (46 pages) in my Project Life wedding album. The only thing I have left to do is add the journaling! And my sweet hubby who has a remarkable memory is helping me out with that tonight. Had I scrapbooked these photos with traditional layouts, I'm sure it wouldn've taken me at least 10 times as long.
Gosh! What photo piles should I tackle next – photos from my years as a teacher or stamping events from the last 14-1/2 years? I can't wait!!
