Our youngest is already eleven! When i first started blogging he was only six and so little.
We celebrated Luke’s actual birthday Wednesday night. My now red-headed kiddo (he got it colored a couple weeks ago) had a great time and loved all his gifts.
Tonight the celebrations will continue when he meets up with several of his friends at a place called Grand Slam for pizza, cake, laser tag, arcade games, mini golf and bumper cars.
I’m finding myself needing more “teenage” stamp images for birthday cards now. So the Epic Celebrations stamp set in the 2018 Sale-a-Bration brochure was a must for me. This is a card I made recently for my monthly swap group.
- Night of Navy cardstock: 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and folded in half for the card base
- Whisper White cardstock: 5″ x 3-3/4″ for the inside layer and scrap for stamping and punching out 2″ Circle
- Smoky Slate cardstock: 3″ x 4-1/4″
- Basic Gray cardstock: 3-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ and scrap for punching out Starburst
- Basic Gray 1/4″ Shimmer Ribbon: about 2-1/2″
- Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon: about 2″

Sponge Night of Navy ink on the Night of Navy cardstock diagonally across the middle. Then put the cardstock inside a box, and using a toothbrush that has been dipped in Silver Embossing Paste flick the paste here and there by pulling your thumb or finger along the brush to release the paint. The box protects your work surface and keeps the paste contained to your card. Allow the past to dry.
After stamping the Sheet Music image onto the Smoky Slate cardstock, tear the top and bottom edges at a slight angle, layer this onto the Basic Gray cardstock and tear those edges before adding this layered piece to the card front.
For the focal point stamp the headphones, swipe a Blender Pen back and forth across the image, punch it out, layer it onto the Basic Gray Starburst, and attach the two ribbons to the back. Add this focal point piece to the front of the card with Dimensionals.
Stamp and attach the inside layer and give to that music loving teen or preteen.
