I can't tell you how much I love the new Daisy Punch. I've been going crazy making cards with it. And it became available again last week. This is a super simple-to-make easel card.
When flat it looks like this.
The front is scored through the middle so it can fold and sit like this when open. The white strip across the middle on the inside sits up on Dimensionals, so it acts as a ledge to hold the card in an easel position when open.
And from the front it looks like this.
Measurements:
- Crumb Cake Card Stock (base of card): 11" x 4-1/4" scored at 5-1/2" and at 2-3/4"
- Whisper White Card Stock: 3" x 6" scrap for punching two daisies & 1/2" x 4-1/4"
- Basic Black Card Stock: 1-3/4" x 3" scrap for die-cutting "hugs"
- Daffodil Delight Card Stock: small scrap for punching one 3/4" circle
- Delightful Daisy designer paper (white daisies on blue background pattern): 4" x 2"
A Few Tips:
- Attach a piece of 1-3/4" x 3" adhesive sheet to the Basic Black cardstock (leaving the backing on) before die-cutting. Then just peel off the backing when you are ready to attach the "hugs" to the card.
- Stamp the words on the Whisper White strip of cardstock before attaching it to the inside of the card with Dimensionals.
- After sponging the outside edge of the Daffodil Delight circle with Crushed Curry ink, assemble the daisy. Then only put adhesive on the lower half of the daisy when attaching it (and aligning it with the words on the Whisper White strip) to the Crumb Cake card front.
I hope you enjoyed this card idea. Thanks for visiting!
