The Dragonfly Dreams bundle is one I have been playing with a lot lately. You may have already noticed it is showing up everywhere (Pinterest, Instagram, Splitcoast Stampers,…). In fact I just did a Google image search and found TONS of projects featuring this new stamp set and coordinating dies. It's definitely a favorite of many demonstrators (those of us who have been able to order products early). This card probably would've been fine without the "glitter" (Wink of Stella), but I added it anyway to make the vellum dragonfly wings look even more fabulous and magical…
…because dragonflies ARE magical! right?
I took more photos than necessary, but sparkly things reflect light and they are sometimes hard to photograph well. I hope you get the idea of how delicate and pretty this card is. Plus the rhinestone eyes in this last photo really look like eyes! hahaha
Measurements:
- Whisper White Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" folded in half to create the card base & 3-3/4" x 5"
- Silver Foil Paper: 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"
- Smoky Slate Cardstock: scrap for die-cutting the center of the dragonfly
- Vellum Cardstock: about 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" for die-cutting the dragonfly
Tips/Directions:
- After die-cutting the Vellum and the Smoky Slate, add Wink of Stella to the vellum wings. Allow it to dry.
- Cut out just the center of the the Smoky Slate dragonfly and sponge it lightly with Smoky Slate ink. Then attach it to the center of the Vellum dragonfly.
- Add SNAIL adhesive to the bottom of the body and add loops of Silver Metallic Thread.
- Assemble cardstock layers: the 3-3/4" x 5" Whisper White attaches to the Silver Foil Paper with SNAIL and then this all attaches to the Whisper White card base using Dimensionals (one in each corner).
- Attach the dragonfly using Dimensionals (one cut in half so you have two skinny ones to put along the underside of the dragonfly's body.
- Add the rhinestone eyes.
