We have been having a long Fall season here in Minnesota. The leaves have pretty much fallen off all the trees, the days are much shorter, but the temperatures have been warmer than usual. In fact my oldest wants to still wear shorts to school!
I have been in an Autumn mood for so long, that I thought I would share a couple leaf cards with you today. Plus, Thanksgiving is just around the corner. So hopefully I'm not too late in sharing these cards with you all.
I put these cards together based on an adorable bag that I found on Pinterest by Lisa Pretto. (Thanks for the inspiration, Lisa!)
Measurements:
- Crumb Cake card stock (5-1/4" x 4" and 11" x 4-1/4” folded in half to make a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" card)
- Various colored card stock for the leaves (scraps) – Wisteria Wonder, Blushing Bride and Tangerine Tango on the card above…Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sky on the card below
- Whisper White card stock (scrap piece for word image)
- Burlap Ribbon (7")
- White 1/4" Cotton Ribbon (about 14")
Tips:
- Wrap and adhere the burlap ribbon around the already embossed 5-1/4" x 4" Crumb Cake card stock. Then secure by tying on the white cotton ribbon and attaching the entire layer to the front of the card using Dimensionals.
- Stamp and die-cut the leaves. Layer and attach them together with SNAIL adhesive. Then add them to the card using Glue Dots.
- Stamp and die-cut the word image. Then attach this image using Dimensionals.
Now…today it IS cold!!! In fact, this whole week looks like it will be chilly. So I've turned on the Christmas music, invited some friends over, and we are all going to be working on our Christmas cards. I need to get mine done soon so I can focus on the big remodel coming up.

I'm going to be giving my craft room/office a makeover! I bought the flooring last week, and yesterday I went to Ikea to order the cabinets and furniture. I'll be taking LOTS of before and after photos and will share the details as things start to take place. The actual renovation will begin on the 6th or 7th of December! Woo hoo!
