Weekly Deals for January 7-13… Stampin’ Up!® - Stamp Your Art Out! www.stampyourartout.com

If you haven't already noticed, when you click on certain tabs or images on my Stamp Your Art Out! blog, you get sent to my other website…my Stampin' Up! website which holds PDFs of the catalogs, shows current promotions, has my calendar of events, has a link to my online store, etc. But you may not have realized that this website also has an area in which I used to put my blog posts. It suited me at the time, but but it was limiting.

I wanted to refer you to my former blog today, though to show you that you can find even more ideas there.

My January 2, 2013 post shows a set of pages that I made using the Borders Scoring Plate tool that is on sale this week. (I need to get that out and use it more!) I loved how it blended my two pages together and created such a fun edge. The photos you will find are not the best,…

…but I used the Borders Scoring Plate to score that fun edge down the length of my 12" card stock strip. Then I used that score line as a guide and trimmed right next to it with my Paper Snips keeping the score line about 1/8" away from where I cut. (Some scrapbookers that replicated these pages in a class cut right ON the score line which works as well.)

Anyways I wanted to give a few cheers for this tool. It's really a wonderful one and is meant to be an add-on for the Simply Scored scoring tool, but you could use it without as well.

And as you can see with this close up image, some of the score lines coordinate with our Labels Collection framelits and our Oval Accent die.

In tomorrow's post, I'll share some photos of the swap card that I made for the Leadership Conference.

I'll be enjoying slightly warmer temperatures in Houston over these next few days. And I am SO-o-o-o looking forward to that! (Did you know that it's been so cold here in Minnesota that the Govenor closed all schools state-wide yesterday?! And today my kiddos are home, too. Lots of districts closed today as well, and ours was one. What a winter!)
