I can't even tell you how excited I am today!!!
The carpeting is now being pulled up, and the official renovations begin for my new craft room/office area!! So I thought I'd share pictures of the way my room WAS. It was a decent room. But it just wasn't functional for me anymore.
The lighting was dim, and the wall color…well, it wasn't an "inspiring" color for me.
Too much of my stuff showed. And the storage cabinets didn't work well for the items I needed to store.
I had a lot of wasted space, too. I can't wait for my wall cabinets!
The storage units I had for my punches and inks were nice, but sat too far out in my room. I LOVE the replacement storage pieces that will be sitting on my ledges soon!
My table was big enough to hide things underneath. So that's what I did! My new room will have 2 tables with adjustable legs. Happy dance!!
I can't wait for the cheerful light maple laminate flooring to take over. Bye-bye carpeting!
I'll also have several counter areas for various work spaces. This corner will hold many of my Stamp-N-Storage pieces! (And that wasted wall space will be no more.)
This area will change slightly, too. Instead of this paper rack, I will have a tall Kallax cube unit from Ikea here. It will house my Stamp-N-Storage 12×12 Paper Holders and more.
This corner piece is staying, but it will look cleaner.
These cabinets are already sold and gone! (Thanks, Craigslist.)
Okay…back to pulling up the carpet!
Love your new room. What is the square footage of your new craft room? I am thinking of doing a craft room, but square footage is an issue. I’m looking at your new space as well as Connie Stewart and two other SU demonstraters. You did mention Craig list, did you sell all your other storage containers, example wire paper holder? Etc … TY for your time to respond, Pat
Thanks, Pat! It’s a 12×20, but it’s L-shaped. This post shares more…http://www.stampyourartout.com/stampyourartout/2016/03/craft-roomoffice-remodel-is-complete.html#comment-6a017ee7dc6811970d01b8d1b779ed970c
I ended up selling all my former storage units.
