Are you ready for a mass load of cards? I took the different sentiments from the Saying Something Ephemera Kit and the different images from the Something for Everything Ephemera Kit (one set of each of the images),…
…a full pack each of the Sunny Springs and the Calming Creek Mix & Match Cards/Envelopes, some cardstock for the extra card bases and layers, and some Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems and… I created 40 cards total!
I only needed a half pack of each of the ephemera kits because you get two of everything in each. All the Mix & Match cards I kept as is. So I had 10 card bases set to go. Then I added 30 more card bases from Basic White, Basic Black & Basic Gray cardstock. All the Mix & Match envelopes I cut down to become patterned paper layers. Here are the measurements.
Measurements…
- Basic White Cardstock
- (10) 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
- (14) 4″ x 5-1/4″ (inside layers on eight gray and six black cards – the ones with the 1-5/8″ x 5-1/4″ & 3-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ envelope layers)
- (6) 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ (inside layers on two gray and four black cards – the ones with the 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ envelope layers)
- Basic Gray Cardstock
- (10) 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
- Basic Black Cardstock
- (10) 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
- Mix & Match envelopes
- 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ from each front (10)
- 1-5/8″ x 5-1/4″ from what is left over of the flap after cutting the front (10)
- 3-1/4″ x 5-1/4″ from each back (10)
Because I cut up the Mix & Match envelopes to use as paper, I’ve included a full pack of 40 Basic White Medium Envelopes below in my Products list. You’re gonna need those. (See below for a complete list of products I used to make these cards. All products are linked to where you can find them in my online store.)

I’ve sorted them by the Mix & Match card and envelope pairs. If you see a little shadow under an ephemera piece, I’ve attached it to the card with Dimensionals or Mini Dimensionals.
You can also see where I’ve added the Adhesive-Backed Metallic Gems. Not every card has them, but you would certainly have enough from one pack to embellish a couple more cards.
Some ephemera such as the “hey” and “friend” pieces needed to be adhered with glue. So I squeezed out a bit of Multipurpose Liquid Glue onto a Silicone Sheet and used a sponge to pounce the glue lightly on the back sides to make the words sticky everywhere.
One of my favorites is this bird and feather card. Most of the images and sentiments were pretty easy to match up.
I’m pretty happy with almost every card. But I have to admit, it was a challenge to put the images and words together when it came down to just having a few pieces left to work with. The Thanks and Yee Haw cards shown below are ones that I may have done differently. Hahaha!
But it was a fun challenge over all! My goal was to use up all the ephemera pieces that I could and not have any left overs.
I think I did. But I can’t remember! Hahaha. If you decide to recreate these cards, message me to let me know which pieces (if any) I didn’t end up using.
