Today I’m sharing a few more ideas – alternate projects I created with the June 2024 Life Is Sweet Paper Pumpkin kit. I love creating with kits and have a hard time putting them down sometimes. (I can’t always fit everything into two posts. And I guess that was the case for this June kit.) 😜
Click here to see my first set of alternate projects (along with a how-to video) that I shared on June 21st.

Below is a list of extra products I used linked to where you can find them in my online store. If you missed out on getting this kit (or you want another), refill kits (those without the stamps and ink) are available those those who have an active Paper Pumpkin subscription. If you are not a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, I invite you to give it a try. CLICK HERE to learn more. CLICK HERE to sign up by July 10th for the next kit. My first alternate is this tricolor “hello” card. I was inspired by the “hello there” card sample on Stampin’ Up!’s blog post from June 25th.
Measurements…
- Basic White Thick Cardstock
- 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored parallel to the short side at 4-1/4″
- Solid pastel paper cut from kit envelopes
- Pretty In Pink: 2″ x 4-1/4″
- Shy Shamrock: a little over 1-1/2″ (1-9/16″) x 4-1/4″
- Peach Pie: 2″ x 4-1/4″
- Patterned pastel cardstock cut from kit cards
- Pretty In Pink: a little over 1-1/2″ (1-9/16″) x 3-1/4″
- Summer Splash: a little over 1-1/2″ (1-9/16″) x 3-1/4″
- Peach Pie: a little over 1-1/2″ (1-9/16″) x 3-1/4″
I attached the top and bottom solid pastel paper layers first and then added the middle one. (If every layer is cut correctly, you will have the ability to slightly overlap that middle layer so no gaps are showing.) Then I added the patterned layers using Dimensionals starting with the middle first. I added the glittered “hello” with Dimensionals, tucked in and attached a couple light green leaves trimmed from one of the frames, and then added three Shy Shamrock Gems.
It’s a simple, clean, but pretty look. And that layout could be done with so many other products, too!
My other two ideas are open treat/gift boxes made from the envelopes in the kit.
Have you made these 3D containers before?
They are super simple and just require a little patience to form.
I scored and folded 3/4″ in from the bottom and each of the two sides of the envelopes. I folded back and forth in both directions to help get the creases flexible and easier to work with when forming the boxes. Then I put my fingers inside one of the envelopes to open it up and form the box. I pinched the bottom two corners to form triangles, folded them under, and glued them down underneath. I repeated this for the second envelope.
Next I used the tip of the Bronze Blends Marker and the cap to “flick” ink spots onto the front of the boxes. (Mask the inside if you wish so the splatters only land on the outside of the box.)
I then prepared the leaves by snipping a few light green ones from one of the kit frames. And I prepared the front layers using these measurements.
Measurements…
- Early Espresso Cardstock
- (2) 1-7/8″ x 4-1/4″
- Kit card cardstock
- (2) 1-3/4″ x 4-1/4″
I stamped the sentiment image on the kit card cardstock pieces and added them to the Early Espresso Cardstock pieces. Then I attached them to the box fronts while at the same time tucking and adhering a few leaves I had snipped earlier. (Sponging Multipurpose Glue onto the back sides is my favorite way to make them sticky.)
I added a twine bow to each box front using rolled up glue dots from the kit.
I then cut the dark green leaves in half lengthwise, added Multipurpose Glue to the back sides (with a sponge), connected them across the top back edges, and trimmed off the excess. Finally I added a few more light green leaves (as you can see) with Dimensionals under the tips and glue under the bases. So the leaves look like they are extending outward.
These open treat/gift boxes have lots of room inside! I was able to get a whole 6.74 oz bag of Dove chocolates into one of them! (The Dark Chocolate & Peanut Butter flavored ones match perfectly with the Peach Pie colored box.)
I’m sure I’ll be able to find Dove chocolates with wrappers to match the other box, too.
Here are all the projects! I hope I inspired your creativity with what I shared today! If you did not get this kit, I hope you can apply these ideas to products you already own.
