I find it funny that I am sharing the last of my completed scrapbook pages today – April 1st which happens to be the day I am holding my first Crafting Retreat Day event here in my Stampin' Studio. Not sure if I'll get much time to work on my own personal pages since I'm hosting this event, but I'm going to try. Seven hours is better than none, right? So maybe I'll have more pages to share later?
Here are the last set of 4 layouts that I completed during my February 5-day Retreat. (Did you see the ones I shared on March 17, March 5th, February 26 and February 18.)
I posted the following pages originally on my blog on September 28, 2015. I saw a similar layout made by Cheryl Flynn and fell in love with the look. So I revamped it a little bit and used it for a scrapbooking class that summer. My participants loved it and had a ton of fun making their own copies. These colors were new at the time, but they are now 2 of our retiring In Colors: Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron. I will certainly miss both of them!
(These pages show off Luke's Memorial Day Weekend 2015 when he brought his best buddy, Joshua up to the lake.)
This is a layout that I created last spring for my March 2016 Scrapbooking class. I shared these pages on my blog on St. Patrick's Day. At that time you could see a lot more green on the page! But now my photos have REALLY taken over. lol
This layout is a little busier that I typically prefer, but I had a hard time eliminating items: photos, the shark Luke had made with the Cricut, and the birthday party shark invitation. But I don't think my boys will be too critical about that sort of thing when they look back on their albums years from now. The photos and journaling are really what matters.

This layout is simple and nothing spectacular. But I wanted to show you a way to "hang on to" your child's artwork. I photograph it and put the miniature versions into my kids' albums. They don't care that I throw out their actual pieces. Because they too just want to remember what they made.

This last page I swear I shared at one time on my blog, but I can't find it now. So maybe I never did? Anyways this is one page of a spread that I had offered for one of my scrapbooking classes last summer. Who says flowers can't be in a boy's album?

Did you see this trick? You can add embossing to your pages by embossing narrow pieces of cardstock and concealing the edges.
Rachael how did you get the flowers embossed on the corner of the of the 12 x12 page
In the bottom photo I give a peek that the embossing is done on a separate skinnier piece of cardstock. 😉 That way it appears to be part of the full 12×12 sheet, but it’s not.
