This card makes me think of my good friend, Brenda Marshall. I should share this idea with her soon (if she hasn't see it already.)
It's made from the Oval Accent Bigz Die!
Yes, this one (shown below).
Who would've thought, right?! I know. Well, I guess Sandy Hancock did! She's the talented demonstrator who made this clever teapot card card. I was lucky enough to get Sandy's swap card (shown below).
See how it is formed from the Oval Accent die? Just be sure that your fold on the bottom of the card stays in tact. Then your tea bag won't slip out. The handle and spout.. (breaking out in song in my head again)… are made from parts of the teapot as well. The handle is simply punched from the top, front layer of the card before it gets trimmed off (hence the half oval where the tea bag shows through). The spout is just another piece of card stock cut near the rounded curve of the die (same area as the top of the pot).
The handle and spout are taped to the inside along with a layer of "lining" card stock. Sticky Strip is the super strong tape shown in these two pics (above and below) that holds the teapot together when a tea bag is inserted.
Shhhhh! Don't tell anyone, but I bought this die JUST BECAUSE this card was so super cute! I can't wait to make more teapot cards. If you don't have this die yet and now need it (as I did), you can click on the image below to find it and purchase it in my online store. You'll notice I didn't add any ink color in the list for the Black Teapot card. That's because you could really use any color you wanted based on the color of your tea bag.

That IS so adorable! I may have to purchase that die as well just for that card 🙂 Of course, I’m sure I could find other uses as well.
Thanks, Stephanie. 😉

Oh! You’re so sweet. Thanks, Jenny. (So glad I got this as a swap card!)
Hi Rachel! I’m so glad that I stumbled across your blog – I found this idea on Pinterest. I’m one of Brenda’s direct downlines and you’re right! This totally reminds me of her. Thanks for the great tutorial, was thinking about making this for a class soon. Great to see you again! 🙂
Will I see you at Convention, Janessa?
LOVE THIS! I am not a crafty person can I order these already done for my church stay at home tea?
I don’t actually sell my creations. I only teach the art of paper crafting. And unfortunately I don’t own the products to make these anymore. I sell my products once they retire. Glad you like them though Tamara.
