Saturday was our last full day at Founder's. I slept in!!! Then after a late breakfast, I finally got a 'ringer' on the horseshoe toss. So I got all 3 prizes today!! Lucky me.
I took the day at a leisurely pace – finished up my make 'n' takes, chatted, went up to my room to rest, and then got ready for the final event – visiting Stahel Farms for some games, prizes, dinner and entertainment.
It was windy for much of the late afternoon. Thank goodness I brought my hair clip! LOL
I may have to take up archery, lassoing, and duck racing as I wasn't too bad at those events. In fact I roped the cattle and almost made my arrow into the smallest hole!
Here are the gals I hung out with for the events/games – my Milk Dud gals: Jill Hilliard, Josée Smuck, Kay Kaltoff, (me), Michelle Zindorf and Lisa Bowell. What a team!
Dinner got moved to the barn because of the wind. Though it was a little cramped, it was very pretty and pleasant.
We had "Dutch Oven Dinners" with apple desserts and homemade rootbeer.
The evening ended with some country/folk songs. And thankfully the wind had died down since we were back outside for this.
I had gathered 10 prizes of Stampin' Up! merchandise just from the games/events that night. Can you believe how much we are getting spoiled with?! We were also given the soon-to-be-released Everyday Occasions Kit. I can't wait to tell you more about this when it gets released. And… when I got back to my room, I had another burlap sack pillow gift waiting for me.
Inside was a charm bracelet and horseshoe charm to represent my earning the 2013 Founder's Circle!!!
Sunday morning came TOO quickly. I got up, got packed, and then headed down to the breakfast area to relax and chat. (Here I am with Dena Rekow, Barb Mullikin, Dawn Olchefske, LeeAnn Greff and France Martin.)
And here's a final farewell from the ladies on the 11 PM Shuttle to the airport.
What a great retreat! Thank you, Stampin' Up! I felt like a queen.
