Last night I held my BIG Fall Palooza. And oh…the fun we had! I loved spoiling everyone with Paper Pumpkin make-n-takes, past kits on hand to purchase, prizes…
yummy pumpkin flavored treats (many of which I baked – thank you Pinterest!),…
samples on display,…
and gifts!
Because I create several projects with my Paper Pumpkin kits each month (so I can share lots of ideas here on my blog and on YouTube), the projects pile up. And in time my shelves are full and I need to purge the items I know I am never going to use.
So I decorated a box like this for each guest attending and filled each one with a different assortment of past Paper Pumpkin projects. It was super fun to see who got what since I let them pick which box they wanted when they arrived.
This is just an inverted Paper Pumpkin box decorated with a sheet of designer paper from the Petals & Paisleys pack, some twine from the Halloween Night Baker's Twine, a sticker strip from the September Something Good to Eat kit, a stamped image in Basic Black ink from an exclusive demonstrator-only stamp set I got a long time ago called Workshop Words, and some Basic Black and Basic Gray cardstock.
I added Watermelon Wonder cardstock to the inside of the box to cover up the ugly shipping label. This color is pretty close to the color of the box, don't you think?
I also enclosed make-n-take materials in the boxes. What did we make?!…
Yesterday on my blog I shared one of the two make-n-takes from this event. This was the other one my guests were able to make. Everyone made this Rich Razzleberry and Basic Gray version.
Measurements:
- Basic Gray Cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" folded in half to create the card base
- Basic Black Cardstock: 4" x 1"
- Smoky Slate Cardstock: 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" (for the inside of the card)
- Petals & Paisleys Designer Series Paper: 3" x 4"
- Silver Foil Paper: 1/2" x 1"
Supplies Used:
- September 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit (the refill kit will work)
- March 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit stamp set (the full kit with this stamp set is not available anymore, but you could recreate with another stamp image)
But I also had created a Gold and Soft Suede version, too.
To get the look of a buckle, I just attached a piece of metallic foil paper behind the banner cut end of the sticker strip (from the September Something Good to Eat kit) and trimmed the foil paper to match. Because the foil paper isn't a sticker, the end stuck out a bit from the card.
I'm so grateful to all those who attended! Thank you for coming to stamp and have fun with me. 🙂
