I have some unfortunate news to share with all you digital crafters/MDS users.
Stampin' Up!'s digital line will be discontinued as of May 31st.
This includes My Digital Studio (MDS), MDS Digital Downloads, MyDigitalStudio.net, professional print services, tech support & assistance from Stampin' Up, etc. This product line was not profitable for our company with all the other digital offerings out there in the market. Digital crafting is still quite popular, and you can continue to use this program and its downloads after May 31st. But Stampin' Up! will not be able to provide any support or product after May 31, 2015.
I was sad when I first heard this news last week. In fact I had a hard time figuring out how to break the news to you all when I was still going through the "mourning process" myself. But you need to know, because this may affect you. And those of us that love My Digital Studio WILL get through this.
Please read through the Q&A below to see what you should do if you own MDS, and let me know if you have any questions.

Where did you find this information? I am a fellow demonstrator and searched the demo website and cannot find it. Thanks for letting us know.
It was in last week’s updates on 3/17/15…the second section in the updates. I’m sorry you missed it. I’ll suggest that they add that news in another post, because I’m sure there are other demonstrators that may have not seen it.
Thanks I read the updates every Tuesday I must have missed it. Glad I visit your blog often.
Is there a way to download the elements that came with the original software into another format to use with other programs? I see where that is possible with ones that I have purchased separately. Please advise. Thanks!
It will work if the program you have is a layers-based program. Go to Mydigitalstudio.net and click on resources at the bottom of the page. Within the Q & A section, there is some info regarding this…
Q: What other software programs are compatible with My Digital Studio downloads?
A: Any program that supports layers, and .jpg and .png files such as: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop Elements, Jasc Paint Shop Pro (PSP), Microsoft Digital Image Pro (DIP), Ulead Photo Impact (PI), Corel Draw. My Digital Studio designer templates are exclusive to My Digital Studio and are not compatible with other programs.
I hope that helps. Sorry it took awhile for my reply. It’s been busy at Stampin’ Up! with the end of Sale-a-Bration.
So we can make the pages and send them to Shutterfly with no problem. I just want to know if I should buy more so I can make pages. If I understand we will be able to make pages with others plus this.
I’m not familiar with Shutterfly, but personally I invested another $70 in additional downloads after hearing the news. I have faith that I will be able to keep creating (and printing somewhere). Could you try Shutterfly soon so see if you can use them?
Will there still be a site where we can talk and learn how to do projects. I just got this in March and than found out they were stopping it. The price was
great and I m learning. Are the FB you tubes staying up
I was told that anything created by Stampin’ Up! will end. So if the FB page was created by SU, then that will be gone. Not sure about the Youtube videos. I can check on that and your other questions and get an answer to you soon. I am hoping to post an MDS blog post by the end of this week with the most up to date information and helpful resources that will be available to us MDS users. Looks like there are some choices, too!
Thank you that will be so helpful. Users will still be out here using it and we can discuss with each other about what to do. Thank you. I was still deciding if I should buy
I am trying to transfer my MDS CD’s to a new computer to still be able to create and it will not allow me to. Why? I should still be able to use the CD program I purchased, to use off line. Could you please give me some input?
It’s been 3 years since this product was discontinued. So my brain is fuzzy about all of this. But I did get the My Memories Suite program so I could continue to use my MDS downloads and keeps my projects I made. Here is another post I put on my blog that might be helpful: https://stampyourartout.com/2015/05/mds-news-updates.html and this is the company I use: http://www.mymemories.com/
