Warmest Wishes this holiday season!
Hopes of peace, love and joy from my family to you and yours!
It's World Card Making Day on October 1st. So card makers all over the world are celebrating by creating and/or sending cards. Some are even creating with others at card-making events and parties this weekend! And then there are those of us who are sharing hand-made card ideas on our blogs.
My name is Rachel Tessman and I am from Andover, Minnesota in the United States. Welcome to our World Card Making Day 2016 Blog Hop! All of us who are participating in this hop are Stampin' Up!® demonstrators from around the world. And all the ideas shared will be with our fabulous, trendy & current Stampin' Up! products. I hope you will find a ton of ideas to inspire your creativity as you hop from blog to blog. There is a list at the end of my post which will help you to move through the blog hop so you can see all the amazing ideas.
I went SIMPLE and created SETS of cards instead of just sharing one card today. Hope that's okay.
Because many of our wonderful packs of designer paper will be on sale through the month of October, I thought I would share how easy it is to make beautiful cards with designer paper and very little extra product. The designer paper alone acts as the main image on a card. No need for several inks or lots of time. From one pack of designer paper, the 12 sheets could produce 72 cards if done in this style.
Tips:
I put these 12 cards together in no time! And because I can get 72 cards from one pack of designer paper, I decided that I really need to make a bunch more and make card sets as gifts for the upcoming holidays.
Now keep in mind…some designer paper patterns aren't the best for this simple card layout. You will need bold images that scream "look at me!" This set of designs in the Fruit Stand Designer Series Paper pack was perfect!
But the designs on the opposite sides of these papers (because the papers are double-sided!) weren't loud enough. With each pack of paper you get 2 sheets of each double-sided paper – 12 in all. So if I ignored the quiet patterns on the flip side, I could really use this entire pack and make those 72 cards.
Here are close-up photos of each card. One of each pair below was stamped with the Tin of Cards stamp set. And the other was stamped with the Designer Tin of Cards stamp set.
A heads up!…Some of our wonderful designer series paper is going on sale in October.
And there are even more savings October 1-5…

Congrats Seanna Paul-Hus! You get the Tag Talk stamp set!!! (I put everyone's name on tickets and Nicholas, my 10-year-old drew yours this morning!) Thanks for participating in the fun from my March 1st post.
Below are some fun things to create using this set…
These next two cards are are ones that I shared here on May 15, 2015.
This one I shared on August 11, 2015.
And then I found a few more on Pinterest that I had to share. I love this stamp set.
Have fun with your new stamp set Seanna!
To order merchandise online, click “Shop” or “Shop Now” in the upper right corner of my blog to get to my online store. If you are on a mobile device, click the minus sign to open up the menu OR scroll all the way to the bottom to find the “Shop Now” button…
Once in my store, sign in or create an account…
Enter your item numbers for products you wish to purchase OR search and select items using the categories on the left or by typing key words in the search bar…
When you’ve found your item, a page like this will appear with the product image, name, order number, price and description. Double check to be sure you are purchasing the correct item. Then click the “Add to Bag” button when you have found what you wish to purchase…
This window will pop up asking if you wish to continue shopping or not. If you wish to continue shopping, click “Continue Shopping.” If you are ready to check out or just want to see your total so far, then click the “View Shopping Bag” button…
It is on the shopping bag page that you enter your hosting code if you have one. Enter your code here where the arrow is pointing, then click “apply.” If you plan to order $150 or more, then you may not want to apply a hosting code. An order of $150 or more will earn you free merchandise. And if you apply a hosting code to your order, then the host/hostess of an event will earn the free merchandise. (On this page if you decide to continue shopping, you may do so by clicking on “Continue Shopping” in the upper right.)
Also…make sure to check over the “Special Offers” section just in case there is a special that pertains to you.) If you entered a hosting code, you will see the hosting code and the host/hostess the code is linked to listed in the bottom left. Click “Check Out” if you are done shopping…
If you choose “check out” to early, a screen may pop up letting you know if you qualify for any special offers…
Be sure to take advantage of that!…
And select what you you’d like!…
Those items will show up in your shopping bag. Then you can continue the check out process…
If you forgot to sign in or create an account in the beginning, it will ask you to do so at this point…
Choosing Guest Checkout will move you to this page…
On the payment screen you will have some choices at the bottom…
A BIG FYI: If you choose “no” on that last question, I will not be able to access any of your information including your name. So I will not know who placed the order, and I will not be able to thank you. Please choose “yes.” You can always tell me not to add you to my mailing list if you do not wish to receive any further emails from me. But I WOULD LOVE to be able to thank you.
After entering your payment, billing and shipping information, review & submit your order. (Paper Pumpkin Prepaid Subscriptions do NOT have any shipping & handling charges applied, but all other items do. And if you did order any Paper Pumpkin Prepaid Subscriptions, be sure to watch for that special email that contains your redemption code. Click here to see the process for ordering and redeeming Paper Pumpkin Prepaid Subscriptions.)…
Thank you for ordering. And please contact me if you have any questions.
There is one more full day left to get ready for my Founder's Circle retreat. I need to start packing and run some errands, though. So I think I'll still be working on my swaps when I'm on the plane Wednesday. Sigh…
I designed a swap that is taking WAY too long to make. And now I am kicking myself for creating a swap PAGE instead of a card.
Anyway…this is why I haven't shared on my blog in the past couple days. I miss sharing, but need to get 110 of these done…
Yes, the hubby (Tim) has been roped into helping again. He's great at putting adhesive on the back of card stock.
Here are the finished ones so far…10 of them. So I guess I only have 100 more to go.
I'm so sorry I haven't posted lately. I have a lot of great projects to share, but I am trying to stay away from the computer. My wrist is sore and I'm worried it might by carpal tunnel syndrome. My husband says to just rest it for a couple days. (Easier said than done.) So just know that I REALLY want to share again, but I'm trying to be good to my arm.
