It seems that lately I’ve needed to send out many sympathy and get well cards. The Through It Together Stamp Set has been a great one for me to turn to for these appropriate sentiments. And the Meadow Dies pair well with these smaller verses.
After die-cutting a butterfly from each color of the Shimmer Vellum, I pulled out myBloom Where You’re Planted and Expressions in Ink designer papers and created two clean and simple vertical book-binding cards. Here is the first one. And below is the second.

PDF Tutorial… Click here to access and download a printable direction sheet.

Products I used… See below for a complete list of products linked to where you can find them in my online store.
Measurements for one card…
- Basic White Thick Cardstock:
- 8-1/2” x 5-1/2” scored parallel to short side at 4-1/4” and at 5”
- Scrap for stamping and die-cutting sentiment piece
- 2021-23 In Color Shimmer Vellum:
- Scraps for die-cutting butterflies
- Designer paper (Bloom Where You’re Planted or Expressions in Ink):
- 4” x 5-1/2” cut parallel to long side in on the left side at ½”

Directions…
- Stamp and die-cut front sentiment piece. Die-cut butterflies.
- Fold card base in half, fold upward on second score line, and adhere the center section together. Stamp the Add designer paper pieces to the front two sections so the flow of the design is intact. Stamp the inside sentiment.
- Add the sentiment piece to the front with Dimensionals. Add butterflies to the front and inside with Glue Dots behind the center section of the bodies. Then Jewels to the middle of the butterfly bodies.

So I’d love to know which of these two cards you are most drawn to…the one above or this second one below?

Ok Each card is unique for a certain person. So it would depend on the person you are sending it to . That would tell which one I would like at that time. For me personally I think I like…. Oh I do not know. ok I guess the Leaf one. Its darker colors. since I tend to use my stuff alot.
also we have a card ministry and I am thinking of adding 4 pages to the inside on which each lady in our small group would write a prayer for the person getting the small booklet.
Ooo! Great idea!
I get it. It’s hard to pick a favorite sometimes. Thanks for your vote though. It was fun to read what so many of you thought.
I agree with Jeanne, it all depends on the recipient. This is like all the cards/projects you share with us. That question always gets me to thinking: “Which child do I like best.” Both cards have beautiful papers and embellishments. Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials.
Oh my goodness! You made me giggle. Thankfully cards don’t have feelings. Glad you enjoyed both of them Lenora. And thanks for your sweet words.
